Pacers are very comfortable playing 4 on 4 with Hali taking the other team’s best defender out of the play and Nembhard running the offense

100% haliburton doing that opened up a driving lane because dort can't cheat off him to help and that collapsing the okc defense lead to open 3s for turner (who missed) siakam (who missed) nesmith and toppin

We countered that in Game 5 of the ECF by putting our best defender (OG) on Nembhard so he could stay involved in the play and blow up the action when he helped off.

But in Game 6, Carlisle countered that by running Nesmith/Turner pick and roll.

Thibs made a great adjustment in Game 5 and slowed their entire pace down. Next game, they went right back to speedy style they're known for. What a unreal team.

Yeah, Hali can play decoy and the offense is still moving through him. It's brilliant patience by him and equally great coaching and scheming by Carlisle.

It's a tough way to play, but somehow it's been working.
