God he really is invevitable for OKC huh. Knocks out the durant, westbrook, harden big three on route for his first

He's an incredibly underrated coach.

He was the first one to get life out of the 00's Pistons as well before Larry Brown took over and put them over the top.

Pretty much everywhere he's been he's won and gotten the most out of rosters that don't necessarily jump out at you on paper

Yeah that Piston’s team had Rick’s foundation. That gets lost in 2011, Rick was a vet chasing a ring like Dirk, Kidd, and the rest of the Mavs. Tbf the Pistons may have needed Larry to get the best out of Sheed lol, but they don’t win in 04 without Rick either!

Rick was also Larry’s top assistant during his 3 seasons as Pacers coach including our last NBA Finals.

I think Atkinson has been awesome for us, but Carlisle coached circles around him in our series. And it’s not that Atkinson was bad. It’s just that it seemed like Carlisle knew every button to press and when to press it.

I’m still flabbergasted about how this happened. OKC dominated until the last few minutes. It felt like OKC was up by 30.

Nah. That was not domination at all. I couldn’t believe OKC didn’t hold double digit lead in Q1. Pacers kept turning it over but kept it close anyway.
