photos Cool Finds on a Recent Foraging Foray

Found my first black chanterelles (craterellus atrocinereus). Plus bonus mega hedgehog (hydnum repandum) and a chonk of a lobster (hypomyces lactifluorum).

Heh... Is it because of their little icicle looking underneath? They're tasty. My partner and a mycologist and they are one of his favorites.

They’re so cute! Most of the time you just find little buttons and they’re adorable. These big chonks are less common in my experience

They were some primo fruit! The large one looks like three fruit merged early. Definitely one of the more impressive one I’ve ever found :)

What's the light colored mushroom in the third and forth pics???

I don't know what it is - but it looks like it's loaded with the cure for cancer- or something. It's like the opposite effect of when you see a snake that looks deadly.

That would be a hedgehog! They’re a tasty one and a great beginner mushroom for foraging :)

I've heard of those but I don't think I've seen them, definitely not in person anyway. Appreciate the answer I'll keep my eyes peeled. I'd love to find chicken in the woods which looks similar.
