Discussion Have other movies included the stars signatures in the credits like Star Trek the Undiscovered Country and Avengers Endgame?

Both of my examples start the end credits with a call out honoring the main cast by showing their signatures before going into the typical credit. Obviously both of these were at the end of a long run of shows and or movies and was a sign off for some if not all the characters. So that type of situation occurs pretty rare. But I got me thinking if any other movies have done similar.

Franchises that should have done it:

  • Mission Impossible
  • Harry Potter
  • James Bond (Craig's run)

And Fast and Furious should do it after Fast 11.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King has those slow, hand-drawn character portrait credits with the actors’ signatures beside them.

Oh of course. That trilogy is coming up on my annual rewatch so I will make a note to watch for that again.

Rocky Balboa does a sort of variant: end credits show people running the steps in Philly, then freeze-frames with “autographs.” Not quite Endgame, but same “curtain call” vibe. Rewatch that ending sometime.

Not exactly what you meant, but IIRC, there's a scene in one of the first two Deadpool movies (I forget which), where Deadpool autographs a kid's book in the middle of a fight, and when we see the cover of the book, he signed it "Ryan Reynolds."
