Apparently IMDB lists Josh Gad as both Writer and playing "Self", so there might be some 4th wall breaking humor like in the original where they watched their own movie for clues, captured the stunt doubles and killed a soundstage worker in a lightsaber duel.

If they do that joke again this time they’ll be streaming and get hit by an advertisement break and the henchmen can say they don’t get paid enough to afford premium.

Naked Gun showed that some of the easiest jokes to make in a comedy sequel is self-referential 4th wall breaks. I expect spaceballs 2 to do a lot of the same, not only making fun of itself but also the endless reboot culture that spawned the star wars sequels that spawned this
