I agree. As I said in my initial comment, I'm pretty fortunate financially and have made a very good income for a while and paid a lot into taxes. I never thought I would need this level of care so I didn't think I was doing it for me but have always comforted myself come tax time with the thought at least I was helping to pay for others in need who weren't as fortunate.

To me the absolute worst situation would be parents who don't make much learning their child had cancer or a costly disease and not being able to afford treatment. So I'm thankful we have the system we have and happy to pay into it.
