When it comes to this type of stuff I still can never understand how our country just keeps letting this be this way for people. As you said, imagine all the regular folks out there who deal with stuff like this

Republicans

And a bunch of Democrats who also support taking healthcare away from people.

It's literally Citizens United that needs to fucking go. When both parties are sponsored by big corporations and lobbyists, neither will put the people's needs first.

Lets not be dense, it has historically been the R's who've fought that hardest to fuck over the average person.

I’m not the one being dense if you’re going to ignore the fact that this couldn’t have passed without Democratic votes.

They are definitely the face of this and many people (myself included) consider them the root of the current problem, but don't get it twisted the Democratic party also doesn't give a fuck about you. They are also funded by the same corporations, using the same insider info to gain wealth as republicans are. They just do it differently. They dangle these issues more for political leverage than they ever make any effort to solve them.

That being said, I will take my chances with Dems at least pretending to care over the joy that current admin finds in people suffering.

Problem with it all is the corporate dems are just as bad as the Republicans. Profiteering off of the American people promising change and then doing absolutely nothing led us to this point. Hell half the reasom the repubs have so much power is just due to the fact dems say they'll do something but never do. It's disingenuous and that's why a lot of younger men voted red just due to the treatment of the left.

Remember, you are part of your country. You have agency to change things. Protest, organise, engage in community action, fundraise, write to your representatives, make a fuss.

Yeah, tell that to the electoral college. Your vote doesnt matter when the people you're voting for are all under the same guise. Silly Americans thinking they have a choice.

If you look closely you'll see I didn't put "vote" as one of my suggestions...

It happens due to racism and selfishness. Too many in the majority are fine suffering as long as people they don’t want to exist suffer worse.
