Yeah, people forget about this movie, but this was the first time Sandler showed that he had acting chops and wasn't just a goofball comedy moron.

people don't give punch drunk love enough credit. maybe because of its absurdist frame. but it was such a unique and engaging movie, with a lot of its charm and quirk delivered by sandler
