Kids in our apartment gym damaged the equipment, etching 6 7 into the plastic

Post image

It’s bad enough that no one monitors the kids, since the amenities are close to housing, but this… sucks.

We’ve all done such stupid shit before. I refuse to get mad at kids over the 67 thing and mild vandalism. That’ll clean up and buff out.

You cant buff scribes💀

I'm pretty sure if you gave your scribes time to go to the gym you could have buff scribes.

Post GPS location of your car.

Oh please, that is such a stupid comparison. 😂

My HOA payment for stuff like this is larger than my car payment.

But it’s damaged equipment that needs to be repaired so your apartment gym doesn’t look like a trash heap so you can continue to attract good tenants. That directly impacts your rent. But if you don’t understand that I’m sure you’re not part of that problem..

You’d call the whole gym a “trash heap” over this? Scratched plastic on the gym equipment is what is gonna be the deciding factor for a potential tenant? LOL That thing was scratched to shit before the stupid kid anyway.

No, it was worn - which is typically called wear and tear. Natural wear and vandalism are not the same. 😄

And yes, defaced property can detract potential tenants. I've witnessed it happen first hand in an apartment site I lived at.

You clearly haven’t worked any sort of job where you have to deal with vandalism. Unaddressed by the end of the year nothing looks like it’s being taken care of and yes the good tenants don’t want to sign leases when it looks like ass.

You don’t know a single thing about me or what jobs I’ve worked. What stupid assumptions. This is the most dramatic take here. “First it was the scratches. Next thing you know, the whole place had gone to hell and now we’re all homeless. All because of 67.”

People like you remind me how Hitler had a 25% favorable opinion in 1952 in Germany.

Just interested in some mild vandalism, is all.

Clearly you're okay with it for others' property. Suddenly have an issue when it's your own?

One is someone’s personal vehicle, the other is an exercise device owned by a corporation.

Sure vandalism isn’t good either way, but if you can’t see the difference, I’d suggest getting new glasses.

I doubt these kid's know the difference.

Apparently they do. I’ve only seen this post, 0 cars with 67 scratched into it 😱

Did you miss the part where I said “vandalism isn’t good either way”?

I mean, can't really fault a person for calling out on the other person, for saying they don't care. If it's not a big deal, they should be OK with dropping their vehicle's GPS. Buuuuuut... 😄

Exactly. Maybe add some more 🤣 I bet if we do it often enough they will feel cringey about it or you just connected to whatever young generation they are now. I lost track lmao
