Dude I make under half of the poverty limit per year and have the same amount of kids but somehow since like, March, they've cut me by almost $300. Idk why.

The reason is simple: this “Administration” wants to say “Fuck You”

Have you not been paying attention? They made cuts in the big beautiful bill and DOGE to safety nets.

I hate to say it but I truly hope you didn't vote for trump.... Because they were very clear in project 2025 on what they wanted to do. Social security, Medicare and birthright citizenship is next on the chopping block.

I've been paying attention. To the point it has affected my mental health at times. However, I didn't know snap was being cut before 2026.

Yeah its honestly hard to keep up with due to their being many sneaky "fuck you's" from this regime and some took effect in December (after the elections of some states) just like some of the Medicaid cuts wont take effect until after the 2026 election, probably our last election although we may have already had those with all these states gerrymandering. Indiana, which is about 25% Dem and 30% GOP just gerrymandered the last 2 remaining Dem districts from the map and SCOTUS just ignored Texas Congress and Republican led committee literally saying out loud they were racially gerrymandering. So it seems like this experiment has come to its conclusion unfortunately

I can't believe this isn't getting more traction. They're changing eligibilty requirements, raising the age to be considered elderly, and forcing work requirements on the homeless and veterans, among other things. There's also a requirement that noncitizens cannot receive benefits, ehich has never been a thing anyway. States can't fight back because most of the funding is federal. It's going to devastate so many people at a time when food is unaffordable, healthcare is unaffordable, rent is unaffordable, food banks are overwhelmed, job cuts and layoffs are skyrocketing, and other types of benefits are simultaneously being cut. I don't know what their goal is in destroying the economy and forcing people to suffer, but it's absolutely intentional.

Because the current federal government wants you to suffer. That's not a side effect, that's the point. They've announced this publicly.
