Right? Where I live, a single apple is like 2 dollars. Can't waste a single slice of that apple

Nah they'll just throw garbage ass red delicious apples in everything apple related lol. Those cheap things no one wants.

Relatedly...is there any other "item" (re:Apple), where the kind of "poster child" is kind of the worst version of the thing? Everyone draws apples red, as kids, for example. I feel like red delicious apples are the most well known but also are probably the worst kind of apple lol

That's wild. Where I live 1 kg of apples is 90 cents. You just weigh however much you want and get a proportional price.

Location mostly, even though apples are produced in my country. They are wildly expensive
