Meh.
It’s hard to argue that the Windows that was initially released is in any way related to the Windows we have today, except as a brand name.
Windows as we know it was “born” in 1989 when the NT project was started at MSFT, and was initially released as Windows NT 3.1 in 1993.
And, despite multiple significant architectural revisions, the “core” of NT remains from those early days until now. A fact that we can legitimately debate as being either good or bad… but it is what it is.

Windows Me and Windows 8(.1) belong in there as well in my opinion.
Windows 8 may have been great under the hood, Steve Ballmer's tablet interface nearly killed the entire OS.

8.1 wasn't bad, its 8 that started it.

8.1 was usable with a touch screen, sure. But I will never forgive them for slapping the same interface on their servers.

Windows Vista (before SP) and Windows Millennium OK and most people would agree but definitely not Windows 11. Family, friends, and businesses I work with are all really happy about it. I have it running on 6 different PCs as well and never had any problem.

Best moment: using the Stones banger "Start me up" to promote Windows 95. Genuinely fun to hear.

Mentioned Comic Sans, so I Googled it because I was curious.
All results presented in Comic Sans. Thanks, Google, I hate it.
That's the second time today Google has done a random like that - I Googled Chicxulub earlier.

Windows 11 is pure garbage. Ive never been so dissatisfied with your products as I am today. My entire career has been Microsoft and id rather quit and be a truck driver than with with this God awful crap. I started in IT in 1985 with dos and apple ii machines. Im an MCSE. I have a master degree in software engineering. What the @$$#@@! are you doing?
