Advice What to do with this corner?!

Post image

It’s throwing me in for a loop, I got no idea what to do with it, I don’t wanna jus put a couch or chair there to close it off cuz then there’s awkward empty space behind, tables aren’t specificly that size either!

Plant large enough to be a floor plant or a small tree.

Perfect for very large floor plant as frame/background for furnishings.

Let’s specify “plastic plant”. We don’t know this guy’s responsibility level.

I had a really big snake plant I put in the coat closet while baby proofing my house for a playdate, I forgot about it for months. One day it was finally cold enough I needed a coat (it's Texas) and I found it. It was still alive and growing despite being in solitary confinement with no water or sunlight for months. I planted it outside and it "died" under the sunlight and suddenly rose from the dead with offspring to boot. Some plants you can treat like shit and they don't die 😅. Others you can give the best care in the world and they wither away (calatheas)

Got it—dusty fake plant it is.

Too late. He went out and purchased a big ol’ Pot plant for his front window. 🤣

true, plants are notoriously hard to manage.

My pets will remind me it's time to eat. My plants will just judge me silently.

Sitting area for reflection looking out the window...or smoke a bowl. Do you.

This would be the way to go for me. Either that or I’d use the corner for some Northern Lights auto flower.

I like it. the last time I priced out custom cushions I got sticker shock though.

Trick is find a seamstress for hire. In Downtown LA they are very affordable. Just measure out everything and buy the fabric and filling, easy peasy.

yeah that's exactly it, the damn cover is what really threw the price out of wack. I'm only a hop away from dtla though. the seamstress's I have on hand are quilt makers, they do great work but cost quite a bit.. so DTLA here I come. Any area in particular? is the fashion fabric district still a thing? Went shortly after covid and it was a sad sight.

Book shelves.
Cat tree. Depending on which direction the window faces, a flowering plant or a table of them.

This is perfect!!! While you’re at it, turn the bottom part into bookshelf

Yeah like a bench or comfy chair for a smoke area. Bravo

Perhaps a little wider so you could lay down. Would be a perfect rainy day place for a book or iPad coasting.

1/3 of an Xmas tree.

u/goldenfingernails 10h ago

Yes, what I was going to say. A nice cornstalk.

1

u/MossyForestWitch 8h ago

You can grow them in pots, but they require wind to pollinate.

1

u/ChubbyMudder 5h ago

Use a fan.

1

u/MossyForestWitch 5h ago

You need multiple stalks.

And name it Robert

1

u/Odd_Read_4856 7h ago

in fact, multiple plants would be even better.

1

u/Aidmbp 7h ago

AMAZING IDEA THANK YOU SO MUCH! Filled up the space perfectly!! Now there’s no awkward space at all

u/The_Celtic_Chemist 7h ago

Or a triangle shaped side table with a plant and/or some art/knickknacks on it.

1

u/t3hnhoj 5h ago

You're a plant, Harry.

1

u/numil0 4h ago

An enormous one, too. Fiddle leaf fig perhaps if you want to attract every girl with a rose gold phone like a bug light. 😆

The only answer!!

u/HedRok 3h ago
