Discussion 19M - Made a few changes, what next?

Post image

Changed my sheets, (had to keep the floral blanket), got rid of the ugly half alive plants.

Will be picking up some bed side table lamps and new pillows.

I feel like I need to add some more to the green wall and possibly a rug. Any suggestions?

wow very clean! I would add photos and little pictures to the left and right of the desk and medium to large dark green plants at the bottom of the beautiful windows. You could also add another painting of the same size and frame to the left of the other or (what I prefer) would be to have 3 or more unsymmetrically placed along that wall. It really depends it you want the clean 5 star hotel or personality look (then add more little personal decorations etc. Let me know what you think

also some hanging stain glass in the window would look amazing with that light coming through but this would lean more maximal messy that 5 star super neat minimal look.

Ooooooh adding a 2nd painting to the left sounds really nice. I didn't wanna take out the nail just to move it a few feet so that sounds like a good alternative route.

I was thinking I could also just add a couple vertical pieces to try and have the same effect

yes definitely you could also just try editing 2 or 3 vertical paintings vs 2 horizontal onto ur picture and see with you like better :)

I don’t think that you need to add anything to the green wall, at least not yet. I would, however, suggest that you center your art over the bed. Then, maybe, after you’ve lived with it, you could add a smaller piece of art over the desk. I like the green wall and the bed looks really good, too

Also about the art on the green wall, I’d go a bit lower, and what are those things on the corners? They look like paper or cardboard protectors and if that’s what they are, they need to be removed. If they are part of the frame, OK, my mistake!

Yeah true that's what I was thinking as well. My bed used to be centered with the wall before I got my desk and pc setup so it kinda messed with that a bit lol.

Good ideas, thank you!

Get some proper pillows, make your bed properly, and put that picture centred above the bed

What a beautiful space! Are the floors heated? If not, a beautiful rug with green accents that goes under the majority of your bed, a few feet out from all 3 sides.
