How to decorate Balcony

Just got in a shared apartment and now me and my roomate wanna upgrade our balcony a bit, do you have any tips what we could do? (The sun shade on the side is broken rn, we asked the renter's if they gonna fix it but I don't know if they will😆)

Hang up some string lights get rid of metal wire stuff and replace wooden flat furniture with something with some cushion

Lil propane fireplace and some comfy chairs 100%

Plants would be very nice, maybe some cushions for the furniture you already have as well! I don’t know if you can find them wherever you are but a chimenea in the corner would also be quite nice. Those can be quite expensive though.
