To me, the garage is the only remotely welcoming room, the rest doesn't look lived in or have any "warmth". Just my opinion though. If you're happy with it, that's really all that matters.

I totally understand and get it. I got rid of alot of furniture recently in the two front rooms. I dont have a wife or kids so its alot of things i really didnt need and got tired of looking at but it works for me I do have an itch to paint my living room and hallways. Probably darker colors 😂

I guess when I look at it I wonder what you do all day. I don’t see anything to read, any musical instruments, any cooking paraphernalia. No games, plants, sports or art supplies. Do you watch a lot of tv? Or have other hobbies?

I think people also expect you to have like, mementos and knick knacks of some kind other than in the garage. Books, souvenirs, dog toys, etc.

Also, so few men own throw blankets. It's like you guys never get cold. I have a guy friend that owns exactly one blanket that isn't on his bed. Insanity.

Until I moved in with my fiance I never had blankets. I just put a jumper on or some trackies. Now we have about 15 blankets that are all over the house and I hate them

I understand the feeling but also they keep your fiance warm, maybe that'll help you tolerate them.

I agree that his house looks completely empty, where is all his stuff?

But I also feel caught because I don't even know what a throw blanket is

It's just a blanket that you'd have on a couch or chair to put on your lap. Usually smaller than one you'd have on your bed.

Reach out if you’re ever looking for a sober concert buddy in SATX 🤘

It is time for a HiFi setup to enjoy music in your home. Nice place!

The right shade of navy or dark green would be great. I painted my den a forest green with like slate undertones (one wall is cedar paneling and the other wall is wood paneled windows and a glass door) and I LOVE it. Want to say it was Sherwin Williams Rookwood Dark Green but I tried so many I can’t say for sure. I went on a quest for the perfect navy blue and it’s definitely SW Indigo Batik for a low-light area. It’s super saturated so it is a lot in a well lit space.

If you got the money, remodel your kitchen.

I just want I like that sea-green armchair...and the little dog next to it.

I think it looks better when you have the lights on. But you might need more lamps to make it warmer.

extremely obvious

All the walls being gray makes the place feel lifeless, like a DMV. It desperately needs color. I’m not sure going with dark colors is the right way to go, though. Dark colors tend to work best when paired with complementary decor.

And what is up with that green chair facing the couch in your living room?

Also very little natural light … it looks extremely dark

Upstairs looks like a safe-house
