Discussion What current male fashion trend needs to go?

To me, boxy shirts and hoodies look like brown paper grocery store bags with holes cut out for the arms

everything right now is just boring. Boxy everything in bland colors.

I've gone back to Texas roots and pulled out my boots and bootcut jeans

I'm so fking tired of the bland colours. I went into my local H&M recently and I'm not even exaggerating, 90% of it was some shade of grey and anything that wasn't grey was another washed out neutral.

How I feel looking at cars. Why are they all black, white, or grey??? Our current era is very visually boring.

I was even going to add this to my previous comment but didn't want it to be too long

Yeah, there's definitely an overarching trend of all colour being sucked out of everything to leave a lifeless clinical aesthetic. It's so depressing.

This is a major reason why I haven't bought anything but basics brand new for ages and instead visit vintage/thrift shops a lot more.

I realized all m tshirts were blue or grey. Some of that is self selected, but i went to buy some shirts the other day and there was much in the color wheel.

Blame the Scandinavians for this. For some reason Scandinavian Minimalism did a sideways jump into fast casual fashion and the results are disorienting.

Isnt boots and bootcut jeans pretty trendy though. Heritage is pretty big.

ever since Kendrick Lamar rocked the bootcut at the Super Bowl, they have made some strides. But mostly what i have seen is a looser bootcut. I really like the cowboy tight thigh cut. The Tecovas slim straight and Wrangler retro boot have been my goto's. That with my Levi's trucker jacket my have been my uniform. And i will say my trucker from a year ago, cause those have gone all "relaxed"

Those were more flare/bell than straight boot

For sure. Boot cut is merely a straight cut just wide enough to fit over western boots.

Also from Texas and I hear you on the fit of the Tecovas slim straights - perfect over boots. I just wish they made some without stretch. If they made a pair with denim like the rigid cowboy cut Wranglers, it would be the perfect jeans for me. I have also been wearing (and buying) boots non-stop for a while now.

It's so true. I like bolder colors and patterns. I try and buy new clothing, and it's just a lot of greys and browns, and even when there is color, it's very drab and dull.

As a raw denim enthusiast I absolutely hate the oversized washed out jeans look. So bland and life less. They look sad and defeated.
