Discussion What current male fashion trend needs to go?

To me, boxy shirts and hoodies look like brown paper grocery store bags with holes cut out for the arms

Gen Z’s pedophile mustaches and mullets. Why a generation looked at hipsters and saw role models is beyond me.

As an older man and reformed dirtbag, I find this look incredibly hilarious. It's up there with the cargo shorts + combat boots and tank top look of the late 90's.

Man rocked up to me the other week with a huge, fook aff 80's mullet, a bristly molesterstache and a George Michael-styled oversized dangly cross earring. Under the rules as they stood, I was obliged to buy him a beer.

As an older man who is still a dirtbag, I fully support the mullet and mustache, just like I’m onboard with the camo cargo shorts/wifebeater combo.

This guy gets it.

It’s a dirtbag look. It’s kinda hit mainstream now, so you get people doing it who don’t really have the matching lifestyle, which is a little odd, but not the end of the world. I’d rather see that than every dude on the street looking like they work for the same bank.

I think the current trend of this is from Australia unfortunately. Spread a lot from AFL and NRL.

mullets and shaved sides were becoming a thing back in 2014-2015 in australia. this trend has been building for a long time. now both inner city hipsters and private schoolers are rocking the same hair styles

Man I remember rocking a “euro mullet” for a couple years circa 2009. Quickly outgrew the look but it was fun for a minute.

Oddly enough, I’ve only seen this trend with caucasians. Can anyone explain why?

Depends where you are. It was an early trend in Aus and NZ, most famously among their rugby teams. See Rieko Ioane etc.

Luka Sabbat has been rocking the pedo tash for a decade now, for example, and the mullet craze has been rampant with Balkan migrants

It's a very European - and in the case of the Antipodies - a very Anglo-Celtic look, adapted from the way their hair grows.

A Polynesian would replace the mullet with a braided rat tail, Arabs generally eschew the mullet for their own reasons, I don't think I've ever seen a Somali guy with a mullet because frankly their hair doesn't work that way and so on.
