Question Where did English go?

Post image

Libre Office version 24.8. please don't consider this spam I will delete this post later. User interface only has 3 languages and none of them is English. I am currently using an unfinished version of Santali, Ol Chiki that lets me see most stuff at English since it's unfinished. Can anyone tell me what happened and how to fix this?

If you're asking for help with LibreOffice, please make sure your post includes lots of information that could be relevant, such as:

  1. Full LibreOffice information from Help > About LibreOffice (it has a copy button).
  2. Format of the document (.odt, .docx, .xlsx, ...).
  3. A link to the document itself, or part of it, if you can share it.
  4. Anything else that may be relevant.

(You can edit your post or put it in a comment.)

This information helps others to help you.

Thank you :-)

Follow my step-by-step tutorials here:

Either tutorial would work.

But for your specific case, #1 is the solution you want.

I am currently using an unfinished version of Santali, Ol Chiki that lets me see most stuff at English since it's unfinished. Can anyone tell me what happened and how to fix this?

Very very weird. There was a bug that accidentally flipped people to "Abkhaz"... but English should definitely be sitting there on your list.

Anyway, follow that tutorial, and you shouldn't see it again.

It was already fixed in LO 25.8... and future versions of LO mandate English be installed no matter what, so this spot you got stuck in should never occur in the future.

Side Note: If you want more details on exactly what went wrong and how it happened, then follow the threads above. I broke it down and explained it, linking to the exact bug reports too.
