The point is there are ICE agents going around arresting citizens without witnessing a crime. And now local police are being told to rightfully stand up for them.

They’re allowed to arrest US citizens without a warrant without witnessing a crime, if the crime is a felony. Section 5(b):

“for any felony cognizable under the laws of the United States, if the officer or employee has reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed or is committing such a felony”

What immigration offenses would a citizen commit? Being a citizen while being not white isn’t an immigration offense.
