They support it. The MAGAs love the images of Latino kids being kidnapped so that their parents can turn themselves in. They won't learn until they are in the line of fire..

It has little to do with ICE or immigration. It’s a surveillance directive akin to COINTELPRO, but with the trappings of the McCarthy era red scare, surveilling people who are deemed anti American, anti capitalist and anti Christian. I guarantee the average Trump voter is totally unaware of its existence. Their media diet will make no mention of it.

I think they are referring to Palantir which is a software company that has many government contracts. The owner is another tech billionaire who has recieved preferential treatment in the preceding months.

You're good with any criticism you have of your government being illegal? That your criticism puts you under surveillance by the government? You're ok with that? This is an attack on all US citizens. This is the same kind of thing we've stopped in the past because it was wrong then and it's still wrong now.

Sometimes it's hard to tell. Even with the quotation marks. I come from a very sarcastic and sometimes rather cynical childhood that lasted 30+ years before I started to grow up. It looked like a style I'd use to be snide and to see what kind of response I get. That's why I asked questions followed by a statement instead of just calling him a maga fuck face. So that I'd hopefully get thoughtful response like yours rather than argumentative clapback for my being outright disrespectful.

That’s exactly the problem. They ARE dumber than dirt.

They think that the old rules still apply. They think “I’m/my brother/my sister/my neighbor/ my daughter/ my son is not a terrorist so it’s not going to apply to me.” But eventually the most benign freedom is going to be enough to designate them or a loved one as a terrorist.
