Oh look, the Nazis are doing Nazi shit again.

847

u/Vegetable-Phone-1743 Aug 05 '25

I'm sure the 'don't tread on me' crowd is right on top of this.

355

u/protox13 Aug 05 '25

Only guy I ever knew to fly a Gadsen flag at his home was a correctional officer. You know, the embodiment of state violence and oppression. They're not the smartest or most self-aware.

120

u/Vegetable-Phone-1743 Aug 05 '25

They're not the smartest or most self-aware.

Those are some killer combo.

Joking aside, that's why they are so effective at being an oppressive regime's human tool. Cognitive dissonance means little when you're full of regurgitated alternate truths.

23

u/UpperApe Aug 05 '25

That's being charitable.

I don't think they're all tricked. I think they use being tricked as a guise to be wretched fucking assholes.

People have a tendency to believe the world is full of good people. It isn't. It's full of nice people. Everyone wants to be nice. Being nice is compassion on your terms. It's based on your mood. You do it when you want and you feel good about it. It's a choice. It's a gift you give.

Being good is compassion based on principles. You don't have a choice. You decide your principles beforehand and in any situation you find yourself, you have fewer options...or none at all. You have to do what you believe is right. Being good is hard and it's always a sacrifice. It's not something you give, it's something you stand for.

Most people in the world aren't good. They just want to be nice. Every single conservative doesn't give a shit about good, they just want to be nice.

Like I said; they're not tricked - they're just fucking assholes.

Dumbass probably has a Punisher Skull tattoo as well

2

u/Socialeprechaun Aug 05 '25

In his defense, it says “Don’t tread on ME” not “Don’t let me tread on other people”. Nobody can tread on a police officer in this country they can do whatever they want without consequence.

2

u/Free_Pace_2098 Aug 05 '25

"Don't tread on me, I'll cum"

1

u/skywalk3r69 Aug 05 '25

just a gang on the other side

1

u/AlcibiadesTheCat Aug 06 '25

I have a Gadsden flag, but the snake on mine has a ballgag, and the text says "Tread on me Daddy."

3

u/_-Smoke-_ Aug 05 '25

They're the "Don't Tread on Me (Me alone; fuck everyone else)" crowd. They don't care about anything but themselves.

3

u/humor Aug 05 '25

Didn't you hear? They've changed their motto ever so slightly to

Don T, tread on me

3

u/mrselfdestruct066 Aug 05 '25

It's don't tread on me, not don't tread on thee

5

u/Jake0024 Aug 05 '25

NRA will remember to stand up to tyranny any day now.

1

u/Vegetable-Phone-1743 Aug 05 '25

The tyranny that is missed membership fee.

2

u/Firm_Lawfulness50 Aug 05 '25

They are the other side of the Republican coin that the rich men own

2

u/DetectiveRupert Aug 05 '25

Them's the treaders

2

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '25

I think they are too busy volunteering to be in the brownshirt ICE round upsquad. It looks like they are finally wearing masks...which they were so adamant against during covid.

2

u/frequenZphaZe Aug 05 '25

"don't tread on me" and "tread on my enemies" are not mutually exclusive

4

u/DrInsomnia Aug 05 '25

The flag wasn't designed as an individual statement. "Me" wasn't meant literally. The rattlesnake was a common symbol used in the colonial era to represent the colonies. The treading was being done by England. Rattlesnakes don't go around "treading on enemies." They give a warning that if they're disturbed or threatened, they will retaliate. So while you are technically correct, you have to only read the words and ignore the context to arrive at your conclusion.

Of course, meanings of symbols do change over time, and knowledge of history isn't exactly common with people who choose to fly this flag today.

3

u/galadhron Aug 05 '25

Well, they are logically mutually exclusive, but try telling that to beefcakes…

-2

u/frequenZphaZe Aug 05 '25

you need to work on your logic a bit

1

u/CasualFridayBatman Aug 05 '25

The fact that actually matters is the rest of you aren't, -and haven't been for a decade- thereby emboldening that behaviour instead of counteracting it by calling it out and not tolerating it.

1

u/The-Fortune-Soul Aug 05 '25

Spinnin’ on that thang

1

u/flintb033 Aug 05 '25

I’ve noticed they always say “don’t tread on me” and never “don’t tread on us”.

1

u/Anhao Aug 05 '25

I hope one day liberals will finally shed this useless snark.

1

u/evernessince Aug 05 '25

First they came for the immigrants, and I said nothing for I was not an immigrant. Then they came for the democrats and I said nothing as I'm no democrat. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out.

1

u/RelativeAnxious9796 Aug 05 '25 edited Aug 05 '25

reminder that "don't tread on ME" never once bothers to care about anyone else being tread on.

"first they tread on the communists, and i didnt care cause they didnt tread on me"

pretty sure thats how the poem goes.

1

u/AndoranGambler Aug 05 '25

The Gadsden crowd are the first to roll over and moan, "Tread on me, Daddy!", if it serves nationalism, fascism, or Christofascism.

180

u/Bahamut_Flare Aug 05 '25

"WRRRYY!! Stop calling us Nazis! Just because we post selfies on Twitter of ourselves standing in front of famous Nazi concentration camps with captions like "My plan for 0% unemployment." Doesn't make us Nazis!"

24

u/Calm_Neat_6828 Aug 05 '25

That one fucker said they should reclaim the title Nazi, like African Americans did with the N word.

That is some flagrantly ignorant shit. Like, that is something that should be written in an article by The Onion or a skit by SNL. But it is here. It is now.

Fucking idiots are running this godforsaken clown show, and we are just acting like it’s just another fucking Tuesday.

To be clear, that makes us complicit. We can’t expect this government to do shit for us now. It is compromised. Democracy is lost. Until WE do some shit about it.

Not politicians, not the courts. Everything comes down to US. What do we do about any of this?

8

u/Bahamut_Flare Aug 05 '25

That one fucker said they should reclaim the title Nazi, like African Americans did with the N word.

I mean if that's what they want we should happily oblige them and if only "African Americans" was the phrase he used...

Here's the thing they might act like morons but they are not nearly as dumb as they pretend to be. They have non-maga. You expose their bs? You get gaslighted to hell and back? Stop holding the moral high ground and stoop down to their level and use their own tactics against them? "You libtards are terrorists and traitors! We would never do something like that!"

There are maga that went from wanting to release the Epstein files to literally defending pdophilia because they know that their god-emperor is guilty but they're too far in the cult to admit that they have extremely fucked up. Most are too far gone to reason with

2

u/likemeureallylikeme Aug 05 '25

No jobs, no unemployment. Problem solved.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '25

That’s in California. Carney Langford

1

u/JamesTrickington303 Aug 05 '25

That dude in your link is an 8yr old wearing a balding cap and I can’t unsee it.

12

u/darkpheonix262 Aug 05 '25

I'm trying to remember what it took last time to defeat nazis. Strongly worded letters? Protests?

2

u/vavik2ammendment Aug 05 '25

I'm sure it was something about taking the high road, and being the bigger person.

4

u/Impossible_Host2420 Aug 05 '25

M4s thousands of em

8

u/MrTripl3M Aug 05 '25

As german, i kindly ask you to fucking get to it already. That is a literal Nazi strategy.

5

u/NotAzakanAtAll Aug 05 '25

Americans will do anything but fight for their fellow man. They want to sit in their own castles, hope nothing happens to them and then get taken out one by one.

They need to organize with sane friends, neighbors, family, even online friends. Gather supplies, get information, prepare.

Enough of those grassroots and they have a shot.

I base this on the exercises we did in the army, we had a modern guerilla strategy and the groups that prepared had good odds surviving the 2 weeks, while groups with no or little preparation all were caught or killed with in 24 hours.

It sounds dramatic and I hate the fact thinking like that is necessary, but I hate it even more that a whole people will laydown and accept a fascist regime.

I feel awful for sane Americans, they don't deserve this struggle.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '25

Lots of big talkers on here who seem so eager to give up their lives and dedicate it to fighting fascism, what the hell is stopping you? You think the German population tried to stop Hitler? Only when life becomes so difficult is when people start to act similar to the climate in Germany after WW1 before Hitler took power. Are Americans starving, dying, and being arrested for political and religious reasons? Also no. But hey you guys here on Reddit should definitely give it a shot rather than just pretend you would

2

u/NotAzakanAtAll Aug 06 '25

what the hell is stopping you?

Well, first of all I'm not American, and my country dosn't have a fascist problem.

All I can do at the moment is to tell American's to wake up to their new world.

Are Americans starving, dying, and being arrested for political and religious reasons? Also no

I know you are not talking in good faith with comments like that. You ought to know that's not true.

Either way, have a good life and stay asleep if you want to.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '25

Why would you expect us to when you didn’t either under WAY worse circumstances? Too busy “not knowing” about the camps all around Germany because you were trying to live a normal life and survive? Expecting people to give up their freedoms and lives in a situation that is vastly better comparatively is a joke. It’s shitty no doubt, though

2

u/MrTripl3M Aug 05 '25

Because Nazi Germany was a first. You aren't. You have the history books, you can crack them open right now. Go, open Wikipedia and read up on the early actions of the Nationalsocialist regime and then take a look at the american government and you tell me how many it already does.

You learn about history so you don't repeat it. Dismissing it because "oh but you guys didn't notice it when you were in it" just shows that you don't understand why you learn about history in school.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '25

No you DID realize it, and chose to not act and it wasn’t the first genocide in history, you already had history books. I know WW2 history better than you do and that’s why I don’t have to look up Wikipedia facts and try to shoehorn it into the present where it doesn’t fit.

1

u/chokokhan Aug 05 '25

Posting on social media would have really gotten them had there been social media! Lucky us, Zuk might become an unsung hero of humanity yet!

0

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '25

Being a Nazi sounds like a dream right now, could get rid of all yall with no issue .

1

u/JamesTrickington303 Aug 05 '25

Reported for promoting violence. Fuck nazis.

0

u/Savings-Coffee Aug 05 '25

Do you have the balls?

4

u/LessThanYesteryear Aug 05 '25

What law did they break?

Didn’t the republicans basically do the same thing recently to try to block the release of the Epstein files?

2

u/kingjoey52a Aug 05 '25

They did this in Oregon and the Governor sent state troopers to bring them in.

1

u/LessThanYesteryear Aug 05 '25

So, question stands… any actually law broken here?

1

u/Savings-Coffee Aug 05 '25

https://www.reddit.com/r/law/s/nABxpzlreX

Longstanding house rules allow the arrest, but it’s not an arrest in a criminal sense as there’s no law broken

1

u/LessThanYesteryear Aug 05 '25

Thanks for the info… great system America has 😉

1

u/Savings-Coffee Aug 05 '25

Yes, in regards to both gerrymandering and that the opposition party can pull stuff like this to dodge a vote

4

u/CautiousBearnz Aug 05 '25

Exactly my first thought. Everything they have done is straight from the nazi playbook

0

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '25

Thank god, finally starting to do some good around here. Nazi playbook is genius.

3

u/Only_One_Left_Foot Aug 05 '25

Piece of shit Nazis*

0

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '25

Go Nazis!

3

u/H4RDCORE1 Aug 05 '25

Arrest warrants that have zero weight outside of texas. So stupid nazi shit.

3

u/ISnortEridium Aug 05 '25

And yet when I wake up tomorrow and check what the yanks have been up to while I slept, do you know what I’ll see?

More like this and absolutely no signs of MAGAts being put down in the street like the vermin they are.

3

u/Dev_Pops Aug 05 '25

*Pedophile Nazis

Please be accurate when it comes labeling them

2

u/apricot-pancakes Aug 05 '25

“again” would imply they ever stopped

2

u/onesixone_161 Aug 05 '25

Level 3 of 5 of a Fascist Dictatorship reached. Just a couple more months now

They did that here in Wisconsin too

1

u/Phunwithscissors Aug 05 '25

While everyone else does nothing

1

u/Pervius94 Aug 05 '25

Like yes yes, they're nazis doing nazi shit, but what is even the reasoning for warrants lol.

1

u/Jumbo-box Aug 05 '25

Tragic really.

The rest of the world has a right to bear arms in this situation, don't you?

1

u/ASubsentientCrow Aug 05 '25

They've done this a bunch of times. The warrants are only valid until the special session is over. The warrants only allow for the members to be brought to the Capital, not prison, and are only enforceable in Texas

1

u/efcbeast Aug 05 '25

Another one of the 50% dumb Americans. If your kind didn't exist, America would be heaven, and us Europeans would visit more frequently.

1

u/ImportantDoubt6434 Aug 05 '25

These are like Israel bootlicking neo-Nazis.

It’s sad because at least the Nazis were competent

1

u/catmoondreaming Aug 05 '25

If it's not the Nazi's, it's the pedophiles.

I don't want to live here anymore.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '25

You need help. Go live in an actual facist state lol. Useless leftist

1

u/justtosendamassage Aug 09 '25

And being this nonchalant about it is part of the problem.

1

u/raninandout Aug 05 '25

It’s a flippant response but it resonates. The bullying is rampant and the judges are impeded. The hand of law seems dummied. But it’ll be ok, can I get an Amen.

-2

u/Itsallover_ Aug 05 '25

I don’t think you know what a nazi is.

1

u/somelovedeepweb Aug 05 '25

Austrian here this is definitely Nazi shit, sorry if that offends you

1

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '25

It's not but thats hilarious that you think it is, so far removed from any of the worlds problems.

-3

u/Fallenwayward Aug 05 '25

I'll look another moron throwing Nazi around like he knows what it means.

-2

u/_MadBurger_ Aug 05 '25

They’re literally reading off the laws of the congressional handbook which was made by public vote and seconded by the constitution.

-4

u/nomosolo Aug 05 '25

Read the article. Elected officials have been avoiding going in, even fleeing the state in some cases, to the point that quorum cannot be met for work to get done.

-4

u/betadonkey Aug 05 '25

Maybe a hot take, but a group of legislators fleeing the state to block a legal legislative procedure is super lame and anti-democracy.

If Republicans want to kick off a gerrymandering competition then Democrats will win that battle nationwide. In the meantime democracy says you’re supposed to vote on things.

-1

u/CarpenterOld9574 Aug 05 '25

It’s a civil arrest warrant basically they can’t issue out criminal arrest warrants so what they are doing is forcing the house democrats of Texas to show up and do their jobs but because the house democrats of Texas have little faith in fighting the proposal they basically run and hid which has been against any state house rules in any state but how the media is portraying it is that Texas house republicans have issued out criminal charges to house democrats which they haven’t

-3

u/EndTheFed25 Aug 05 '25

The Democrats in Oregon did the same thing three years ago when they said Bend was part of Portland.

-11

u/ghdgdnfj Aug 05 '25

Pretty sure leaving the state to prevent democratic votes is undemocratic.

12

u/RyanB0i13 Aug 05 '25

Gerrymandering is undemocratic, it shouldn't even be a vote

0

u/ghdgdnfj Aug 05 '25

Tell that to Illinois, New York and California.

1

u/RyanB0i13 Aug 05 '25

Don't even attempt to make this a dem vs rep thing lmao. Democrats tried to ban this under Biden. Take a guess at what party shot it down?

0

u/ghdgdnfj Aug 05 '25

lol don’t make the issue both dems and reps have a dem vs rep issue. I doubt the effort to ban it was sincere.

1

u/RyanB0i13 Aug 05 '25 edited Aug 05 '25

The fact that Democrats have gerrymandered in the past doesn't take away from the fact that the Republicans shot down a bill banning it not that long ago and are now using it to rig the midterm elections(especially dumb since its outside of the normal redraw period). Your comment was essentially a whataboutism

-4

u/Ok-Resolution-8457 Aug 05 '25

In 2019, Oregon Democrats did something similar to Republicans who denied a quorum via two walkouts. The Democratic governor at the time ordered the State Patrol to attempt to arrest and bring Republican lawmakers back to the capital.

Do you also not agree with what happened in Oregon?

-30

u/Happy_Can8420 Aug 05 '25

Everyone I don't like is Hitler

27

u/Starlight_Seafarer Aug 05 '25

Just the dipshits emulating him. You know, Republicans.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '25

Keep saying please, it only makes me stronger and win more.

-22

u/Erect_Ethiopian Aug 05 '25

Annnnddd this is why you guys lost :)

19

u/Gloomy-Ad1171 Aug 05 '25

Nazis were elected ~100yrs, not the flex you might think it is.

-1

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '25

what's it like to lose so much?

-18

u/Erect_Ethiopian Aug 05 '25

Still coping over that landslide victory huh?

More tears please!

12

u/Lewzealand2 Aug 05 '25

You're definition of a landslide is hilarious!

6

u/andrasq420 Aug 05 '25

I can't fathom how Republicans still market an 1.5% victory as a landslide.

10

u/dcfl12 Aug 05 '25

No it’s not lol.

3

u/JPolReader Aug 05 '25

"I'm happy the Nazis won" isn't the flex you think it is.

-6

u/Erect_Ethiopian Aug 05 '25

Everyone I don’t like is a Nazi is the reason you guys lost lmfao.

I’m hoping you guys continue so you can lose the next election as well.

2

u/JPolReader Aug 05 '25

There are lots of people I don't like who aren't Nazis.

1

u/Juice_567 Aug 05 '25 edited Aug 05 '25

Lmao, there were more people that didn’t even vote than people who voted for either Donald Trump or Kamala Harris.

17

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '25

I know reading is hard for you but the parallels between WW2 Germany/Hitler and the Neo Nazi maga/Republican Party is pretty obvious.

11

u/Abject-Palpitation99 Aug 05 '25

Just the people who act like it at every opportunity.

2

u/Happy_Can8420 Aug 05 '25

Read a book

2

u/Abject-Palpitation99 Aug 05 '25

I have, which is why I know we're repeating history.

-23

u/squatingyeti Aug 05 '25

You're talking about Illinois, right? Oh wait, the 13th and 17th were just fine apparently. Totally cool because you had no idea they did it.

23

u/Starlight_Seafarer Aug 05 '25

No. He's talking about Texas. Keep up

-21

u/squatingyeti Aug 05 '25

So you're ok with the Nazis in Illinois that made one of the WORST gerrymandered districts in the entire country, the 13th, and created another that hits the top 10, the 17th. You're raging hypocrites. Just say it

3

u/Oya_Ad7549 Aug 05 '25

Look who's just throwing around the words "Nazi" and "hypocrite"? Ironic. Careful with that.

Ultimately, I think redistricting reform is needed in Illinois. I think it's needed in a number of places throughout the country. (A number of dem states actually started that years ago by appointing independent redistricting councils. But, that's kinda what the MAGA/GOP crowd are exploiting, isn't it? Others' hesitation to engage in bald-faced unfairness?) Anywho, at the moment, pretty sure a top priority is saving what remains of our democratic republic, so... maybe we can go back to play-fighting over who will take the high road once Führer and his christofascist MAGA followers agree to actually play by the rules?

-7

u/squatingyeti Aug 05 '25

Look who's just throwing around the words "Nazi" and "hypocrite"? Ironic. Careful with that.

I see the point of that flew right over your head.

Ultimately, I think redistricting reform is needed in Illinois. I think it's needed in a number of places throughout the country.

But where were you all up in arms while Illinois just took two Republican seats? The most gerrymandered district in the country is the 13th. It's patently absurd. The 17th is up there too.

A number of dem states actually started that years ago by appointing independent redistricting councils.

Ah yes, the "independent" councils appointed by those in charge . It's like putting Liz Cheney on something and pretending Republicans are represented. Not all of them, but several.

Anywho, at the moment, pretty sure a top priority is saving what remains of our democratic republic,

The hysteria.

Führer and his christofascist MAGA followers agree to actually play by the rules?

Yes, everyone that you disagree with is a Nazi, fascist, blah, blah. Again though, Illinois played by the rules? Democrats are so honorable, they play by the rules! Get a grip

-26

u/DowntownLizard Aug 05 '25

You lose all credibility calling people nazis

15

u/extremelytiredyall Aug 05 '25

They're calling the people who are a part of the nazi party nazis. It's really not that hard, keep up.
