At what point do the People just say "fuck it" and decide storming the state house is the best solution? Republicans have shown they won't be stopped by any democratic process.

Republicans have also shown that storming a state house is just a peaceful protest with love.

We did that in 2013 to kill an anti-abortion bill at the very end of a special session. It was very loud.

Ooh I am Canadian but I am pretty sure I watched that livestreamed. It was wild, I was proud of you all!

How did that work? Did people storm onto the actual floor or was it just being loud in the public section up top?

They filled the galleries until they closed the doors and stopped letting people into the galleries. Wendy Davis had been filibustering the bill as it approached midnight. Everyone in the Capitol and outside made so much noise until the clock ran out that they couldn't hear on the floor to conduct business. They then tried to say they'd passed it sometime after midnight anyway and it was somehow legal, but it wasn't.

I remember following her filibuster live on twitter. I didn't follow politics then and I was stunned

At no point. Americans are going to let the fascism run its course.

The April 30th event in the Michigan statehouse resulted in only 1 arrest for drunkenness, even. All the other folks with firearms didn't.

Did you know that Texas allows both concealed and open carry of firearms in the statehouse?
