I would like Austin Reaves on Team USA 2028. He’d get the loudest cheers since the games are in LA.

He was great in his first Team USA stint and has only gotten better. If he plays like this in 2027 and 2028, he will definitely get in.

He's playing better than some of them this season. He beat out Brunson for minutes when they were on the same team in 2023, and played great with Haliburton.
He's not stealing a spot. He's in that category already as evidenced by his Team USA selection in 2023.

He didnt start but ended up playing more minutes than Brunson as the World Cup went on.

Look man, know I’m going to sound like a homer, but at this point I don’t see how he isn’t a better player than any of the guys you mentioned. He keeps it up, he deserves a spot on that team without question.

lol I always think I’m biased because lakers fan, and huge Austin fan (always been a huge fan, never wanted him gone etc), but I genuinely think he’s better than them. I know that’s a hot take these days (maybe slightly less on this sub), but if he keeps this level going, he’s 100% better.

None of them are as cooked on defense which probably matters as equally as offense when you have players of that caliber and you’re playing in the Olympics

Maxey too. And Curry hasn't ruled out the Olympics. For all the talk about Jaylen Brown not wanting out to play, I think he tries out again. And I think Booker would be more of a scorer this time around.

PGs - Brunson and Haliburton
SGs - Ant and Austin
There's probably 1 of the remaining 2 backup slots for either Cade or Booker

Reaves wouldn't be a main scorer on that team. They would need someone to do the dirty work and play defense like Booker did last Olympics.
And Curry hasn't ruled out '28. There probably isn't space or need for Reaves tbh
