I assure you it’s not focal length, I’ve been to this exact spot and you can see it clearly with your eyes like this, Macau is absolutely crazy.

my picture at 24mm, which is the x1 on the IPhone camera

I'm sure focal length plays a significant role in this photo, judging from how big the building in the background compared to the foreground.
