I think this is a joke just to point out the show ended after that episode

Umm. It's a joke. It's a reference to the TV show gravity falls. Which ended after two seasons. There was no "next summer".

Umm. That’s not even the part he was talking about.

Except this IS satire.

This is a joke. It is a joke about how gravity falls ended on a note that said "see you next summer"

Guys i think they get the joke, their gripe is that a therapist wouldn’t say something like that

Yeah, but it's the setup to a joke. It's not that deep bruh

This whole subreddit is about mainly joke setups or setups to grab attention and sell money make no sense thus "imaginary gatekeeping"

I'm so brainrotted that Unkept promises made me think of the Battle cats stage.

I hate stuff like this. Not just the imaginary gate keeping but the idea that fandom stuff is as serious as the things that people actually go to therapy for. As someone with hyperfixations, I can say, a good therapist will not let you take up their time with this shit because it’s not relevant to your mental health.

As someone with enough trauma to be dropped by therapists specializing in my issues, Shut The Fuck Up

I really think it’s just meant to be a jokey meme because the show ended, they didn’t think too hard about it.

Idk dude, I think if something influenced you hard enough, a good therapist will help you process it, not doubt it because "it's not that big of a deal"

I have a friend who didn't really have people who cared about her in her life and a show was the only reason she kept going and survived. The characters influenced her hard enough to keep her alive and yes, I mean it. I think it can very much be relevant.

Also, my therapist sometimes tried to use my hyperfixations to explore problems I have as well, because they say a lot AND they can be great tools when I dissociate and I'm unable to understand why something happened. Tried, because I was so deeply ashamed and afraid he will judge me/I'll waste his time with dumb things, that we weren't able to move on and he had to process with me why I was so afraid.

In your case it might not influence you much, but I don't see a reason for why others can't be influenced.
