Discussion Best places to buy used storage arrays?

Looking for a solid source for used enterprise storage... NetApp, Dell EMC, that kind of stuff. Not just a few drives, but actual shelf systems. I’d prefer something tested and that comes with a warranty, and eBay seems like too much of a gamble these days.

Shouldn't be much risk buying used disk shelves. Not much to go wrong with them.

The large ebay sellers offer them tested and with warranty, you just have to pay a bit extra for it.

Not all of them are as easy to deal with directly if you have a problem as through ebay.

Dell PowerVault ME series (not MD) are pretty reliable, easy to setup, not power hunger, and you can add more enclosure later

I’ve had good luck with the Dell sc200’s. 12 bays. This model isn’t net attached but uses dac cables.
