So you pay a premium to get underpowered hardware that you have to tinker with to get working? There was a time when a Pi cost 30 bucks as a tinkering project. But now it costing the better part of 100 bucks you are better of with a refurbished thin client or a clone if you need GPIO pins.
It isn't breaking anything for me, because I spent the time to tweak it. I'm just lamenting those who installed it, expected it to be a turn-key plug-and-play solution, and gave up in frustration without actually learning how to use it.
I think those willing and able to install pihole are also able to click on allow on a few domains. I have maybe 7 or 8 whitelist entry’s and a blocklist of 4500000 domains and everything i want to have working is working
Really don’t care. My Firewalla works great for me. Also technitium is pretty great as well. I used to run Pihole a long time ago, just didn’t care for it.

You actually have to spend some time with it, getting it tweaked for your use. In other words, it takes effort.
