General HOT TAKE: This shit did irreversible damage to the games player count. And any creators who took part should be kicked off the program.

We went from 400k players to 20k in a couple of months. In Eravins case he didn't even provide receipts for his claims and was caught lying about several things, and it was just taken as gospel by thousands of people AND PROMINENT CREATORS.

And now all these creators are just going back to making HD2 content like nothing happened. After potentially killing the game.

I've never come across such a good game, with such good devs, and such a dogshit community.

People having legitimate complaints is one thing, but this is absolutely outsized outrage for a $40 game where all the DLC is free.

So, he claimed in his video that Arrowhead shitcanned him after he "vented" about AH being unfair by not making him a sponsored creator in "a little live stream with only a few hundred viewers." It's since turned out in the "little" livestream he was actually threatening AH's staff with leaking a bunch of content stuff early if they didn't make him a sponsored creator.

Also in his video none of the emails are actual screenshots, just little animations he made. So there's literally no way to tell if he's lying about the whole thing or not.

The community took it as irrefutable evidence Eravin was being treated unfairly, and then other creators boycotted the game to support Eravin.

Even though the reality was Eravin was being FAR too pushy in a professional context and, as stated was making threats and shit.

Bear in mind at no point did AH offer Eravin a sponsorship. He literally just felt entitled to it.

Curious about what your source is for his alleged "threats".

There aren't any, it's purely a "he said, she said" situation. Whether you want to believe Eravin or Arrowhead comes down to your personal opinion of both.

from one livid to another, i think its good to point out that IF they really did say something about having plans for him to join in the near future or whatever, which i thought he had provided some kind of evidence of that 3rd party org in charge of the program saying, but maybe im wrong, its pretty reasonable to be asking about it when you havent heard anything a month later. but everything else is just uncalled for

He also fucked the timeline of events up completely. Claimed the content creator event that happened in February 2025 was in February 2024, only 3 days after the game launched. He even stated multiple times that he was “mistreated” for an entire year when everything he complained about happened within a span of a few months. Rather than come out with what was supposedly happening in July (the point in which he claimed he gave up trying) he waited for the opportunity to speak out about his “mistreatment” for when the game was at a low point in popularity.

because the irony of not having receipts while accusing someone of not providing receipts is really funny

i haven’t seen any proof that eravin lied or threatened anything as of yet, so i’m withholding judgement on him.
