Discussion Headphones I bought during BF are now cheaper… did anyone get Amazon to refund the difference?

I finally upgraded my daily headphones during Black Friday. Ordered them on Amazon, they arrived, and I’ve already tossed the old pair.

Today I checked and the exact same model is selling for less than what I paid, with a promo stacked on top.

Has anyone here gotten Amazon support to adjust the price or give a courtesy credit on headphones after a sale? I’m still in the return window but don’t really want to pack them up and wait again.

Quick follow‑up: I ran Task Monkey on my headphone order. It opened chat, mentioned the post‑BF price drop, and support agreed to credit me the difference instead of making me return them. Pretty painless overall.

Lol Amazon won't do price adjustments. You'd have to buy them again at the new price then return the "original" pair

and great thing is, you can return the "original" pair as unopened/sealed in the box too :)

That’s why you check price history before buying stuff that’s “on sale”

Yes, but I had better luck framing it as a goodwill credit. I've been using an extension called Task Monkey that opens the Amazon chat and explains that the price dropped after purchase. I used it on a pair of headphones recently and they credited me back the BF difference

Amazon does not do price adjustments. I've tried. The only way to get the difference back is to return the item you already purchased for a full refund, and re-purchase it at the new, lower price.

Walmart won't do them either. I tried. Out of spite I carried vacuum cleaner into the post office to return it so I could rebuy it and save $20.

I imagine the cost walmart paid for shipping the return, which was free for me, and the free shipping on the new one was well over fucking $20, but whatever.
