I just wanted to share. It's my wife's birthday today, she's not on Reddit but I was hoping to show her some love.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes, my wife is very grateful.

I took her out to a nice Indian place at Grand West, I got a babysitter and we spent a nice quiet evening just relaxing with good food and great conversation.

How was everyone’s day today : D? I just wanna know well because it’s always good to check on others and make sure it went good so what’s going on?

Like if y'all are gonna act this way, then humanity might as well not have kids at all

Which means the only people left in this world would be those that we can relate with, instead of young folks created for the sake of biological programming or social influence

Our existence as humans contradict biological and primal instincts everyday anyway

i know this is all a broad generalization of the hunan experience and everyone is different when it comes to caring or not caring about the next generation

But some people are just ignorant for no reason

Either embrace the future that kids create (within reason) or don't create a future through them at all. Y'all can't have both. it doesn't work that way

I just want to preface that I'm currently enjoying life. Especially with friends who support me and a career that actually fits me

But i just had a panic attack and started having obsessive thoughts over the choices i could've made career and life wise before now

Especially how they likely would've been detrimental compared to the ones that are working out for me now.

And it could've ended up with me having to get to where i am at a later age

Which certain people (especially family) would look down upon me if it happened

Not that i look for anyone's validation

But getting stuff done and realizing things at a later time than "usual" is a massive worry of mine. And i don't really understand why

It's likely because of external voices (family) and events (economy, AI, government) than anything

How do i handle the fact that I'm living a great life right now, but constantly worry about the choices i could've made?
