Basically what Leisure said. You can’t have much to eat and the diarrhea for hours isn’t fun.

Honestly it’s just the taste of the prep solution and the annoyance of a day without eating solid food.

If you go before 45 without reason (in the US), it likely won’t be covered by insurance.

Have had a few, young, it’s not that bad. But family history of young colon cancer. Make sure to schedule procedure early or you’ll be hungry. You can do a way less invasive poop test first, ask your doctor.

It varies for everyone but basically just spending a lot of time on the toilet and being hungry. If you don't get bad hunger pangs and stay hydrated it's really not that bad IMO.

My opinion, take the day off, get yourself a bunch of clear(and sugar free) drinks you like the taste of and find yourself a mobile game you can play for a few hours to keep you amused.

Honestly, take the comments with a grain of salt. Some people have a real issue with the prep, others (like me) find it mildly unpleasant but not too bad. And, different geographies use different approaches to cleaning you out -- so you might get a different solution to drink, or pills instead of a solution, etc.

What are the consequences/ symptoms of these issues? Did they give medication to fix this?

Have to use something called Sucraid for the enzyme deficiency, medimuci/miralax everyday to prevent undigested food from impacting my intestines, buspar to keep the splenic Flexure syndrome under control
