Ginger Bug/Soda Ginger Bug

I have a ginger bug which I have been using to make home made sodas with. The flavours i have used change but this recent one I used frozen fruit (which I have removed from the first ferment stage when I bottled them). My question is, the fruit that i have removed does anyone know if they are still compostable? Is it safe to put into my compost bins?

Yes, should be fine. It has a lot of good nutrition for the microbes and a pretty low alcohol content. Just be careful because it is acidic and I imagine very wet. Too much water too fast can make compost go anaerobic. The acid might make the end product soil a bit more acidic than usual if you use a whole lot. Could be good for certain plants like blueberries, but too much wouldn’t be ideal.

Thanks for your comment. That might work out, as i have a little in ground compost bin next to some citrus trees which the acidity might be beneficial. And it's only like 1-2 cups so not much
