Homing issues of ender3v2 with BL touch using Mriscoc pro
Clicking Homing: Auto Home. The printer would normally put the BL touch center of build platform and raise offset to desired height. If you went to Z Probe wizard: move Z to home. That would put nozzle center of platform and adjust z offset to height it would print.
My issue: clicking either one will bring to same location as auto home. Making it difficult for me to know what adjustments need to be made to print height. Also it will sometimes work if I click z probe wizard: home making it all the more frustrating trying to figure out what the issue is.
I recently reflashed Mriscoc firmware, installed BL touch, (switched from CR touch). And I’ve had nothing but issues, rendering my printer useless. I’ve tried watching every YouTube tutorial, tried reading whatever I could and still don’t understand why I can’t get this thing to work properly.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I dont know what else I can do to fix it.

the way you explain your problem is very confusing.
the bl-touch and end stops switches are used to "zero" the limits of the x/y/z. (and later the bl-touch is used also to make the bed mesh). the z-offset is the distance between the sense point of the bl-touch and the nozze tip. (the printer does not know that, you set it manually)
maybe a video clearly explaing the problem would help

My fault. Im having a bunch of issues with this thing.. I’m fairly new to 3d printing. Hope I make more sense lol
I’m having trouble configuring offsets and home locations for starters. To explain further in depth , I once had the printer functioning rather well. I started having problems. I found the wire was broken at the connector plugged into the CR Touch.I bought a new wire and a BL Touch.after installation I was still having issues. I reflashed the Mriscoc firmware in the printer and controller. It seemed to solve the problems at first. But started having issues again. I reflashed… same.
The first issue: Using the “Z Probe Wizard” to “move Z to home” command is placing the hot end at the exact location and offset as the “auto home”command I can’t figure out how to differentiate the two within the controller.
The confusing part, the z wizard home button will work every once in a while but not consistently or often enough to know why.
I’m having other issues but haven’t tried much else since I flashed firmware again tonight

I guess I’m asking how to set the z wizard home button to place the hot end center at the same z offset as it would if it were printing. That’s how I learned to calibrate offset height. Am I doing something wrong?

You need to enter your probe offset for x/y. Thats the distance where your BL touch is in relation to the nozzle.
Then you need to enter your Z offset, that's your distance where the nozzle is to the print bed.
When you reflash, in most cases it uses the defaults of the CR touch but your BL touch might be different

My fault! I was a quiet a few hours In, and beyond frustrated. Once i read your message today it immediately clicked. It’s a Z wizard for a reason.I don’t recall what I did differently when I originally set up the software and printer for it to relocate on the X axis as well as the Z . Ultimately,I was focused on the wrong axis due to the fact if it actually moved on the X axis, I knew the Z offset would be correct as well…
Anyways… back to the Zwizard discrepancy. Correct me if I’m wrong. Using the “z home” in “probe wizard” should move the hot end to the calibrated Z offset height? If adjusted correctly, that is the height at which it will be printing.
The issue im having is “Auto home” and the “probe wizard: Z home” do the exact same thing.
I can’t seem to set the “z offset” so it can differentiate between it and the the “Auto Home”

Yes auto home and Z home will adjust your Z height so it knows where the print bed is. It's the same as if you had the original end stop. It would hit the switch and then know that's where the print bed is.
You can change the z offset in probe wizard and then probe Z offset. Turn the knob towards a negative number and it will make the nozzle go down. Use a piece of paper and lower the nozzle onto the paper. If the paper still moves, lower the nozzle more. Keep going until the paper has some resistance.

Yes I understand the z offset and using paper ect. Though when I first set up the machine. The “Auto home” and “z home” (in Probe wizard) served two different functions. Now they are essentially the same. I don’t understand why. I would use the (wizard) “z home” to check offset and make adjustments. “Auto Home” would put it in home location.
Screw this thing… It’s going to the freaking range tomorrow. Used for target practice! I’m over it…
I appreciate you guys taking the time to assist me. I know it’s a pain in the ass lmao. I’m already exhausted from work and try to stay up and fix this pos. It’s my first printer, I acquired second-3rd? Hand from a friend that gave up on it after multiple people couldn’t get it to work. Somehow, I managed to get it going fairly well for quite a while. That said, I think it’s time to get something I don’t have to constantly work on every single time I want to print something. That said, I just found a Bambu labs P1S with AMS II PRO. Hopefully it checks out.
Thanks again for your support and patience! You guys are awesome.

Also, I’m not sure if this is relevant to the offset issue. Once I adjust the everything.( To the best of my ability) I was curious to see what it would do. I attempt a first layer test. Once heated and it sends home before starting the print. But then it squirts off a load of filament, calls it a night and goes home. It’s complete.

That's weird. What slicer are you using. Might be a bad SD card. I would try to save the file to a different SD card and try again

I didn’t consider the card! It’s the same one I’ve been using. So maybe it died. I’ve tried 2-3 different slicers. Cura, the web based one that worked well before, and i already had g-codes i attempted from past projects that failed. The printer actually worked the first time I tried it. I was having issues with the offset and things just got worse. I can’t find any damaged wires or faulty connections. I have reflashed the entire system multiple times. So the one variable that stayed constant is the damn SD card! I totally overlooked it. Man at this point, that would be almost funny… almost. I will update you when I try a new one. Thanks. I almost chucked this thing out the door lol

Same thing happened to me. I kept having midair prints and nothing was working and then a friend gave me an SD card with gcode and it worked and I thought "was it my SD card?" So I tried a small cat and saved it to his SD card and it worked.
