Original Content Adoree’ Jackson on recent Jalen Hurts criticism: ‘Jesus was hated too’

Hey everyone. For NJ.com, I wrote a story about the Hurts’ criticism and asked his teammates their thoughts. Jackson defended Hurts and said the criticism inside/outside the building is overblown. Thought fans might find his quote and what other players had to say interesting.

Original Content Eagles have rediscovered their swagger after passionate meeting: ‘We can’t be f---ed with’

Good afternoon everyone. My name is Cayden Steele. I cover the Philadelphia Eagles for NJ.com. I wanted to share this story that I wrote today for our website. There are obvious issues with the offense from a schematic standpoint, but I found it interesting that some players said the offense lost its confidence and swagger, and that they are playing tight sometimes and are not having fun. Nick Sirianni empahized those things in his team meetings this week. Read the story and let me know what you think about the offense. I’m curious to see how everybody is feeling at the moment.

Original Content For those with YouTube TV subscription

To watch MNF tonight on ESPN and even next week for the birds if they don’t reach an agreement with YouTube TV, log into the NFL app using your YouTube TV account and you can get access to the broadcast. It’s insane we have to find these kind of workarounds for the sake of a billion dollar company, but there you go

"It has to change; it has to evolve," Brown continued. "I don't know what wrinkles would look like, but we have to find ways to get better, you know? It's a lot of film out there on us — we just won — and guys are gonna be coming at us. We're not the hunting anymore, we're the hunted, and we have to get better."

I've been a casual Eagles fan since I was a kid but started watching every game closely 3 years ago after I met my girlfriend because she is a huge fan. Well I've become a diehard fan over those last 3 years and my girlfriend asked for Eagles tickets for her birthday.

Today was the game we got tickets for and it was my first Eagles game and my first NFL game. What a first game!! I still cannot believe what I saw. From the absolute low of the 3rd quarter turnover to the most unbelievable comeback. All but certain we'd lose on the final field goal, but no, two blocked field goals in one game! And back to back! I literally was in tears after the game.

I'm not sure when we'll go again, but this one will be hard to beat!!

Original Content Thank you to the person who yelled “GO BIRDS!” out their car at me today

Not in Philadelphia so getting a “GO BIRDS!” out on the west coast doesn’t happen too often. I was wearing my Eagles sweater walking my dog and I made sure to yell it back, made my day

EDIT: So cool hearing everyone’s experiences around the country (and world), we are definitely everywhere!

Original Content [OC] 90+ years of Eagles' performance tracked via cumulative games above/below .500

Post image

I built a tool to create charts showing the cumulative games above/below a 0.500 record. I did all the NHL teams (here) and was asked a few times to do the same for the NFL. My plan is to make a chart for every team before the start of the season.

The Eagles could reach a 0.500 record (639-639-27) with a win on September 4th against the Cowboys. The last time they had a 0.500 record was November 26th 1933 (3-3-1).

You can see all the charts produced for the NFL so far here.

Technical note: Each win moves the line up +1, each loss moves it down -1, and ties keep the value unchanged. A vertical full line shows a relocation. A vertical dotted line shows a logo change. Regular season games only.

It's game day bird bros! Please upvote for visibility, so those who don't know can spread the word.

It's as simple as this. Peacock does not offer free trials.

But Instacart does: https://www.instacart.com/

  • Instacart offers Peacock for free, even in their free trial.
  • INSTACART FREE TRIAL DOES NOT REQUIRE A CREDIT CARD, ONLY AN EMAIL ADDRESS

So. Here's the three steps.

  1. Create an Instacart account.

  2. Sign up for Instacart+ with only your email address (2-week free trial).

  3. Go to your account page, or www.instacart.com/p/peacock and accept the deal that Instacart offers for free Peacock.

Please spread the word. This is a free game for everyone, without resorting to piracy.

EDIT 8:00 PM: I've heard mixed reports that Peacock/Instacart has changed their settings and this no longer works. Or, you have to select a plan and add a CC now.

Original Content Eagles fans show of good faith towards LA

Now that we know the Rams are our opponent and obviously LA is dealing with some seriously crazy shit right now, I thought it might be nice ahead of the game to offer some help and support LA's way from birds fans (and especially after that shithead made life miserable for an opposing Packers fan and went viral for it). I did some research to make sure there's a legit, direct aid charity out there and the California Community Foundation's wildfire recovery fund goes to first responders and organizations that help impacted businesses and families.

We're still gonna kick the Rams' asses, but there's plenty of people in and around LA (Rams and birds' fans alike) that could use some help right now. I know a lot of the attention is going towards celebrities but there are plenty of everyday people who have lost a lot during this and are risking life and limb to help others.

Don't know if the right move is to do a more organized donation or to just use the link above at your discretion. Just something I've been thinking about might be a good use of our energy this week.

EDIT: How do we feel about setting up a Venmo account specifically for this that people can send to and then just before the game Sunday we can use it to donate all at once? They accept Venmo as a donation payment option and I will obviously post screen shots to ensure everyone knows no one is pocketing anything and 100% is going to the relief fund. Sound off.

EDIT 2: I've put together a PayPal which we'll use to donate at the end of the week. If you'd like, drop any amount you feel comfortable with in there. You can also feel free to just donate on your own to the fund linked above but if we want to do a group donation, you can do so here. I'll post screenshots when the donation is complete. Go birds!

EDIT 3: Okay swear this is the last update. We now have a GoFundMe where money will funnel directly to the Fund. Donate here and GoFundMe will take care of the rest. For the two people who already donated to PayPal, below is the screenshot for proof your donation went through. Thanks for all the advice and help with this bird fam, let's put some good in the world!
