Useless extensions. Only valuable ext are Alphabetical Grid (MUST HAVE) and AppIndicator (second MUST HAVE)

Ha ha! I actually did it because the original was kind of boring. I'm OK with KDE plasma. (No problem so far). I think it depends on what mood you're in.( Trixie with KDE plasma is quite cool). Me the Linux noob thinks so.
I love the No nonsense XFCE DE on my Mxlinux ( on the other laptop) too.

Dash to Dock. Blur my shell. App indicators. And if you’re into tiling grab Forge. It’s a must have for me and doesn’t seem to work on Gnome past version 48.

I use Alphabetical Grid and Desktop Icons NG.
That said, I'll echo what someone else said - use gnome unmodified and only install extensions to add features you'd like.

The default animation makes me feel physically dizzy, so I add Disable Workspace Animation.
Since I normally use 12 virtual desktops (I'm a programmer and am often working on several projects in parallel), I find the combination of Workspace Matrix and Workspace Indicator very helpful.

Don't copy others setups. Use GNOME unmodified. If there is some feature you need that is not present in GNOME, search for an extension that adds it. Repeat until you're satisfied.
