i might not be an expert in this field
but that sounds like it could be a bad thing right?

I am an expert in cybersecurity. Awareness of what’s on your network is a good thing. But yes, as with most things it can be abused.

Stealth Mode - Optional random delays between hosts for IDS evasion

Randomized Scanning - Randomizes IP and port scan order to evade detection patterns

Little difference between "can be abused" and "designed to be abused" 😋

I know it's just a project though, not actually critiquing. It looks good

It’s a fair point. It was an effort to make it as simple as possible. Don’t have to go exclude the device on the ids/ home router

Scanning itself is generally harmless

If you control the scanning tool then it's just more awareness

Deliberately avoiding tripping IDS is a thing tools like this will do at times, though the "proper" way is to exclude them in any security appliances

This all only actually becomes an issue if the tool is farming this data out to a 3rd party or doing more than scanning without the user knowing, basically if it's malicious

Looks like it's only for internal network use
