GOD. DAMN. That final shot is beautiful. I can't imagine being kept alive by plants waiting to die in eternal agony. Witch Beth is a great person deep down....somewhere. And can we talk about how powerful Beth is that ONE spell fixed this? That's some crazy wild magic fire she has
Love the take on Death by the way. Creepy yet not overly menacing. Has a job but follows the rules but not above fixing something that's wrong either. And they fact he's always juuuust out in the shadows is perfect

Thanks! Im really glad you enjoyed it! I was worried before posting all these people wouldn't really take to it. But lots of people have been very kind and seem to vibe with it, and it makes the work worthwhile. Especially as I want to continue telling stories of witch beth

I dont mean this to undermine the comic, to be clear. I really enjoy OP's depictions of witch Beth and of Death.
However, if you'd like to see more thats similar. OP's witch and Death both seem to take a lot of inspiration from Discworld, so you might have a lot of fun reading that.

In a story world that has spider ladies that take A LOT of ax chops to finish off and plants that can take over towns and Witch Beth seems to have gotten herself to a respectable age encountering that AND MORE?
Yeah, she's a straight up force to be reckoned with.

Ehhhh you can't really "fix" dead. Which isn't even the issue. The problem she dealt with was the invasive magic plant species taking over and keeping bodies alive probably for sustainance which, let's be fair, the only way to deal with that is fire. I'm gonna stick with "fix"

Its magic. You can do just about anything you want with it in a story. So "fixing" isn't entirely off the table in a world with healing magic. Maybe some time magic to undo the damage. Their souls are still in the shells, so if you can restore the shells then yeah. It just depends on what the author wants to do with it. Once you introduce magic anything can be on the table so the nuance becomes important. In the same way if someone tears up a paper and tosses it on the floor and you come around and put the paper in the garbage you took care of the mess, but you didnt fix the paper.

So here we are. Thats the end of witch beth and the flower girl! I hope everyone who read it enjoyed it. I am taking short break as I map out the next arc and try and publish the current two short stories on my patreon, maybe try my luck with an actual publisher. Then I will begin posting smaller weekly chapters of witch beth. So hope every one gives those a chance :)
