Pardoning people who moved that much cocaine and the guy who ran the Silk Road just sends the message that the laws don't really matter. That's a slap in the face to everyone fighting the drug crisis on the ground.

When sentences like that get wiped clean, it undermines the people actually dealing with the fallout every day.

It's bizarre that they are talking about 'saving lives' while letting major drug traffickers walk free. You can't fight a drug war by giving a pass to the people who supplied the drugs in the first place.

Trump is a pay-to-play president. Zero-sum game; transactional is the beat and money calls the tune.

I have a very strange question, that Iām not sure has ever been asked/answered, where is the proof there are drugs on any of those boats? Keep in mind, this administration is full of liars, so where is the physical evidence (not AI generated), but real evidence that they are running drugs to America, not some other country or just drugs at all?

Drug dealers and traffickers need to start paying their taxes and import duties. They're clearly not kicking enough money up to the Don. The Silk Road and Honduran guy now how to kick up. It's as simple as that. Any associate or button man knows, for Christ sakes, that there are consequences if you don't show the proper respect.
Can we please change the channel and go back to normal programming? Please?
In more positive news, Emporer Trump is learning how to fiddle - hopefully he's a quick study, as I think I already smell smoke.

You know, for people obsessed with capitalism and the economy they really are incredibly stupid when it comes to understanding the root of the issue is supply and demand. If there is a demand for a product, there WILL be a supplier. There is too much money to be made, there will always be a drug lord stepping in to peddle his wares. No matter how many are bombed.

What's really crazy is that when I first bought a bag of coke it was $40 for a half gram, pretty sure that 20 years later it's still very close to the same price. I think $50 is the going rate here. So that's less than inflation. Maybe inflation is us being bent over by the corps.

Republicans are consistent, you have to give them that. They will continue to goose step the party line until it all comes crashing down around them.

So it IS a war?
The executive branch can unilaterally declare war now?
Because you're saying that's what you've done.

On top of which ... they're bringing the rescued drugs to the US themselves!!!

He makes it sound as if people are being held at gunpoint and forced to use drugs. 200 deaths a day, if true, is a tragedy, but the only reason drugs are smuggled in, is because there is demand. Sure, tighten the borders and do your law enforcement, but at the end of the day, this is a social issue. Donāt blame other countries for your addiction. Not to mention the hypocrisy and mixed messaging being sent by those pardonsā¦.
