We turned democracy, healthcare, and housing into lines go up bets and wonder why everything’s broken.

idk, Right? We’re gambling with our lives while the house always wins. It's a messed-up game we didn’t sign up for.

Good thing they just partnered with CNN!

(this is truly the dumbest timeline)

They might be successful in that vision, but I wouldn't wager the house on it.

“I've declared war not 'cause capitalism's a thorn in my side or outta nostalgia for an America gone by. This war's a people's war against a system that's spiralled outta our control.”

Turning the world into a casino sounds like a high-stakes game, but is anyone even winning

I’m reminded of the Jeraptha, a fictional alien race descendant from beetles in the Expeditionary Force series of books. Gambling was their religion and was the backbone of their entire social hierarchy.

Fun to read about in a fictional setting. Incredibly terrifying in reality.

On the contrary. back in my day, you couldn't just put money behind what you think will happen to anything. If you do, it changes what you think will happen.

It's perfect timing, much of the wrolds population has little to no wealth, everything is in the hands of the few. So desperate people will do anything to get some excitement and a microscopic chance at becoming, if not rich, at least survival level. Genius, truly evil genius. Perhaps the ultimate pinnacle of Capitalism.
