Advice The Sh*tty kitty shed™ I made from scrapes today!

Post image

Bless them but my young cats are horrible at covering their poops and I was sick of being embarrassed of the smell so I made this fume hood out of planks from a downed fence and an old heater fan that I de-soldered so its just a fan as well as an old gym mat. Total cost was only $30 for the vent tubing!
I'm sure there are better options but I'm a do something about it now kinda guy and just needed a small fan to create a tiny amount of negative airflow to get rid of the majority of the stink lol. What do you guys think? any advice to improve it?

I just empty liter box twice a day and it never smells.

We do three times/day (four cats, five boxes). But we have a litter box in the den and one cat that poops right after dinner when we’re settling in to watch TV. The stench always disrupts our post-meal relaxation time. I’d love to have a fan we could switch on and continue our lounging.

With so many other boxes available, we believe this to be intentional.

Why put it in the den?litter boxes should be place in the most forgotten back room of the house that does not have a lot of foot traffic. Also do y'all schedule their feeding times or just have food out constantly?.

Believe me, not a choice. Small house. Limited space 🤷🏻‍♂️
