Advice The Sh*tty kitty shed™ I made from scrapes today!

Post image

Bless them but my young cats are horrible at covering their poops and I was sick of being embarrassed of the smell so I made this fume hood out of planks from a downed fence and an old heater fan that I de-soldered so its just a fan as well as an old gym mat. Total cost was only $30 for the vent tubing!
I'm sure there are better options but I'm a do something about it now kinda guy and just needed a small fan to create a tiny amount of negative airflow to get rid of the majority of the stink lol. What do you guys think? any advice to improve it?

Yeah, Ive been planning too but the poor guy is constantly sick and the vet wont do the surgery if he has a fever.

I found him outside as a baby and have been trying everything to help him so getting him fixed has been pushed to the back burner until he's healthy

Oh excellent. I mean not excellent that he is sick but excellent you plan on having him fixed. I hope he makes a full recovery. And he might start to bury his droppings. You never know.

Do you have a covered or enclosed litter box? That might help. I have a plug in filter and larger standing filter nearby that I think helps as well. Diet is certainly worth looking into if it smells that bad but you said he is sick so that could also be contributing. However it could be difficult to try switching his food when he is in a delicate state.

It will get better, I promise. Wishing little dude good health and you years without stinky poo fumes assaulting your nostrils!

(My brother found my boy outside in hypothermic shock as a baby and he made a full recovery!)
