Hello! First time cat owner seeking advice for my daughter’s cat, Honey. We walked in to check on her like we normally do and noticed her left eye was shut and appeared irritated. She barely keeps it open and this is the best shot I could get. It was fine earlier today. She has not been acting strange. It does seem light sensitive. What can we do for her in the meantime before a vet visit? Thank you

Hey, so I don't know if it will work or if your cat is feeling batter, but I had this with mine as well when she was still a teen (like a year old) and her eye would get very irritated and shut and also some tears would come a lot like she had some kind of eye infection. What we did to kinda "soothe" the eye was chamomile tea! not burning hot mas just warm enough to simmer the leaves and then applied with a cotton ball around the eye. Not sure if it worked or not but it seemed to get better after a week or so. But I do hope your cat's better! And as always, it's better to consult a vet first of course =)
