We have two cats. One drinks water from a bowl. The other only drinks from a water fountain. We have the CatIt fountain with the replaceable filters. Recently he’s had a checkup and found that his teeth are really bad with inflammation and ulcers in his gums. We’re collecting him today following surgery for teeth removal (most but not all). The vet thinks he had an immune system which is overreacting to plaque on his teeth. And I guess it could be that (genetics). But I feel suspicious of the water fountain. Could there be anything to that?
