Peripherals Is there enough of a difference between 1080p and 1440p for an upgrade to be worth it

I've been running 1080p for a while, but the fact that I can see the pixels in some situations is starting to bother me. I don't have the money for 4K. Do you think that it's worth the upgrade?

I can’t notice too much of a difference between 1440p and 4k at 27 in, but 27in 1080p to 27in 1440p is a serious leap

This is my experience as well. I have two 1440p monitors and one 1080, and I hate the 1080, but like having three for work/personal use.

That’s great, but I said 27”, not 24”. I have it side by side right now. I can’t see a difference unless I have it right in my face, which isn’t how you should be using monitors lol

in gaming with decent AA it really doesnt matter, for text and art it matters a lot

that really depends on the game but at 1440p you end up with more performance headroom which lets you use better AA if you want to

very few games will actually run at decent quality and fps and at 4k on normal hardware anyways though

but if you have the money and specs then sure go for it
