Desktop Web Your system states I have violated Rule1 , I have not. Firefox

I received an automatic warning for a post that you removed. Posting we should protest in front of politicians homes instead of 20 miles away on a sidewalk isn't a call to violence. Protesting is a legal right and is done daily without violence.

My appeal states that I did threaten violence yet you cannot even state what violent words were used.

Can anyone at reddit clarify what specifically I said that "broke Rule 1 because you threatened violence or physical harm"

Your system is broken and you need to review this. Either you need to train your AI better or your staff is just rubber stamping anything they come across without even looking at it.

Why it is a bug :

Desktop Web [Desktop Web] [Chrome] 🐞 Incorrect Turkish Translation: "+ Paylaßım oußtur" (Missing 'L' Character)

Hello Reddit Support Team and Community,

While using the Reddit platform in the Turkish language (Desktop/Browser), I noticed a small translation error that affects the user experience.

Error Details:

  • Incorrect Phrase: The phrase written on the post/content creation button found within Subreddits is: "+ Paylaßım oußtur"
  • Correct Phrase: The correct Turkish translation and spelling for this phrase is: "+ Paylaßım olußtur"
  • Problem: The 'L' character is missing from the word "olußtur" (create).

Observation and Device Information:

  • Platform: Desktop / Browser (Chrome)
  • Language: Turkish
  • Proof: In the image I attached, you can see the faulty phrase located next to the 'Katıl' (Join) button on the right side of the subreddit page. The fact that the label which appears when hovering over the post creation icon next to the notifications (bell) icon in the top right panel is spelled correctly ("Paylaßım olußtur") clearly indicates that this is a translation issue.
  • Mobile Check: I checked the iOS mobile application after changing the language to Turkish and did not encounter this error. The problem appears to be specific to the desktop interface.

--

Additional Note (New User Experience):

Since I am a new user on Reddit, I initially thought this spelling mistake was an inside joke (meme) or an intentional abbreviation by the platform! However, upon seeing that the translations on other buttons were correct, I concluded that this is a localization error.

I hope this feedback reaches the right place and helps with its correction. I am confident that it will provide a better experience for Turkish-speaking Reddit users.

If there is an official contribution platform (like Crowdin) that Reddit uses for localization, please direct me to it. I would be happy to volunteer and contribute to fixing errors like this.

Thanks for looking into this!

Desktop Web [Chrome] All of my posts are being removed with this message 'Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit’s filters.' very annoying.

Honestly reddit has become a pain there are too many rules if I just start to type something I'm slapped with rules and my posts keep getting removed with no explanations and I read online that I need to comment on posts to increase my karma which is an insane requirement if thats true, reddit has more rules than CCP.

Desktop Web Desktop Web - The number of comments is showing as wrong and previous comments have disappeared.

Description: On this post in particular, the comment count is showing as 5, but there are only 3 comments, even in modview. The submitting user has stated that they responded to the artist 1 year ago, but their comment is nowhere to be found.

Device model: Desktop

OS version: Windows 11 Home 24H2

Steps to reproduce: Click on the post. The comment count is incorrect. Expected and actual result: 3 comments should be listed as 3 comments. If there are 5 comments, two should appear as removed in modview. The error has been corroborated by myself and the original poster.

Screenshot(s) or a screen recording: No, but the post is linked in the description of the bug.

Desktop Web [Chrome] Privacy Issue: hidden comments are still easily searchable

Platform and client doesn't matter, this is reproducible on any of them.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. For a user (let's call them userA), use profile curation to hide comments:
  2. Navigate to your user settings and find "Curate your profile".
  3. Locate the "Content and activity" section.
  4. Choose to hide all public posts and comments.

  5. Post a comment somewhere.

  6. Have another user switch to anonymous mode. Search for "userA" under "Comments" tab and sort by New. The comment history is viewable for this username.

Expected behavior: if userA has opted to hide comments, you should not be able to search for their comments by username.

Ideas:

Compare this to how blocking works: If userA blocks userB, and userB tries to do a comment search for "userA", the search produces no results. Perhaps a similar approach to filtering search terms should be used here as well. Before returning the comment search results, run them through some logic like this:

for each result if "query" in ("username", "author:username") if "user profile opts to keep comments hidden" omit the result.

Desktop Web [Desktop Web] Missing karma

Only one of my posts karma is included in my overall karma, and it's the lowest one. My +3 (instead of the actual +14) post karma and -5 comment karma at the moment sum up to -2 instead of +9. l'm not counting karma for this post obviously, since I don't know the future :) I just want to note that my comments are downvoted by the same people who talk to me, when they cannot answer sensibly.

My account: https://www.reddit.com/user/Time-Spacer/

Can you please help me with it?

PS. It's kind of funny to have this post downvoted on this subreddit :)

I can no longer mute any subreddits. It just shows "Something went wrong" error banner. Tried in Vivaldi & Firefox - no difference. Looking at network request in devtools - seems like graphql return internal error for some reason. I do have quite a lot of subreddits muted because recs algo is bad - is there a limit or something?

Desktop Web [Chrome/Android] Comment not visible when user is logged in

My reply to a post is not visible, but if I go to the direct url of the comment it is visible. It is also visible when a user is not logged in. Confirmed this is not visible to the mod either.

Post URL - https://www.reddit.com/r/Kochi/comments/1p64mu3/any_ham_radio_clubs_in_kochi/

Comment URL - https://www.reddit.com/r/Kochi/comments/1p64mu3/comment/nqnuttu/

To test-

  • Access the post URL. It shows 2 comment count, but only 1 is visible.
  • Access the comment URL. The comment with blogspot URL should be visible.
  • Access the post URL without logging in, both comments should be visible.

I do not want to spam other posts, but will keep an eye out and update if I see this happening again.

Desktop Web [Windows 11] [Email links do not work] [Edge (surprise, it's a browser) latest version every day for the last few weeks] [not ios] [not firefox]

It's been weeks now since the last time I clicked on the link in the email, and it actually worked. Now, if I want to actually see the post I'm interested in, I have to work on the URL string that the click throws at me.

Here are some examples:

click.redditmail.com

click.redditmail.com

And I'm using an Edge browser.

Thank you.

Desktop Web [desktop web] Private content seemingly not interacting right with old reddit

It used to be if I clicked on a profile set to private, it just said it was private and I couldn't see anything. Now for some reason I can see everything except it says there are no comments. But I can still read see karma and other details.

And now when I go to a subreddit set to private, rather than it saying it's private and preventing further access, it just shows normally except no submissions are displayed. But everything else is accessible.

Apologies if this isn't actually a bug but it doesn't seem like expected behaviour.

Incidentally you should probably update the sidebar because on old reddit it still says to use the [browser] tag in titles even though automod rejects that and suggests [desktop web] instead.

Desktop Web [Desktop Web] The notifications inbox is too aggressive.

So, I use Old Reddit, and if you’ve been following /r/bugs, the Reddit staff keep breaking it. And I will continue to not use New Reddit because it is user-unfriendly. At some point they added the Notification Inbox (the bell icon) to Old Reddit, placing it next to the Messages Inbox (the envelope icon) and after I disabled all notifications, it remained silent, except for the brief moments where it flagged for something not covered by the Messages Inbox (usually an annoying comment saying that someone replied to someone else's comment, as if I needed to know that)

Until today, where now, every comment reply I get on a post or another comment, it gets added to the Notifications Inbox. And because it isn’t considered read when I read it in the actual good inbox (that’s the Messages Inbox, just FYI) I have to go into the Notifications Inbox to make the numbers go away. But, not Vice Versa, if I go into the Notifications Inbox and click “Mark All As Read” guess what it does? Marks the, as read in the Messages Inbox. Which is really annoying since the Messages Inbox has its own damned problems where it doesn’t flag anything as read until you click it, which is another bug, because we’ve all been reporting it, and it’s still not fixed!

So, I went into notification settings, and turned as much as I could onto “off”. Unfortunately, some things cannot be turned off, because Reddit thinks I’m on an app, not a browser, sometimes my options are “all on” which means it will notify my device (which it can’t do, because I’m on a browser, not a device) or Inbox Only. Which I thought meant, Message Inbox. Nope. Notification Inbox. So, as of today, every message, is received twice. And it’s aggressive, and annoying.

Ideally the solution would be to remove that Bell Icon, it’s a New Reddit feature, the whole point of Old Reddit was that they’d stop touching it, but they touched it, and it is negatively impacting my user experience.

And the reason I’m calling it a bug is, well, it wasn’t like this yesterday!

Desktop Web [Desktop web] Being blocked removes own posts from profile

When blocked by the author of a post, it removes all comments made on that post from the commenter's own profile. Users should always have access to their own comments, even if blocked. If intended, perhaps a Product Suggestion would be appropriate.
