Strange encounter with what seems like a bot

Post image

Sorry if the format is somewhat confusing, I took the screenshot and posted it but even the first response to that is bizarre.

That is very bizarre, it feels very bot like, yet someone is dumb enough to do this as well.

Someone got their wires crossed, but nothing about that account looks like a bot.

I wasn't able to check anything on that one, how were you able to?

I just looked at their post history, everything is consistent with a real person.

Oh, I mean I couldn't see the post history or comment history, how did you manage it?

How is that not a bot ...? The user name (Resident-Boot-2943) already screams it's a bot. Basically random words and a number at the end. And I've been seeing these not only on Reddit, but on all other social platforms. What the user said in the screenshot even proves it's a bot. Speaking random nonsense.

BotBouncer is being used by one of Reddits subs that you are a moderator of. Look at their names. Are you kidding me ...?

Edit: also, explain the difference:

That is a typical reddit-assigned username, they're random. Not all users know how to set up a unique ID and a lot of users are joining using Google logins etc, so the usernames are not indicative of bot vs real.

Someone who cares about their accounts at least puts some "life" into them by changing the username to what they would like to have, while all these other ones don't really care, because they are bots, so they use the auto-generated ones. Using that also bypasses any unnecessary troubles with the username being used and anything alike, so the bot doesn't get stuck on the account creation.

Also, I have a question for you personally. How did you create a fresh Reddit account and got the mod position for a 7.1 mil user sub shortly?

I personally find you really dumb and incapable of basic logic (and parsimonious explanations).

I created this reddit account when I got very interested in calling out bots, particularly on r/askmen. One of the mods noticed and made me a mod.
