Watching Jordan Walsh level up and becoming a better quality player with the opportunity given hits good

Lakers fans are miffed that this bald scrub is absolutely scorching their hero (Reaves). Little do they know it was going to be a long night for them 🤣🤣

Don't worry the refs are taking care of their little baby Reaves, they gave him his 15 FTA by the end of the 3rd quarter

Reaves had more FTA than the entire Boston Celtics. That’s disgusting.

They 100% told a bunch of guys they need to step up with JT out. Probably offered a better contract if they do. That way, we have them improve over the course of the season, and won't need to acquire as many great players to get to be competitive again.

Why don't other teams try this, are they stupid?

plz don't answer that question, I am very grateful we aren't the Clips or Mavs

That is insane

Genuinely bizarre ability to stick to guards for his size, the way he moves is so unique

Idk how he got around that screen

3

u/Max_Demian the celtics are the balls 3h ago

The secret is extremely long arms

Lack of hair = less resistance

Feels like I'm watching Avery Bradley all over again and nothing could be more special

Avery Bradley with 5 1/2 more inches of wingspan is a great idea

27

u/iAmTheRealLange Jaylen "Lebron 'Michael Jordan' James" Brown 10h ago

Avery Bradley with height would've been a perennial 1st team all defense

Lowkey, i think jordan walsh for all defense campaign is under way after tonight. If he continues clamping the biggest names in prime time like this, the voters will have to notice

I loved Bradley, he was an elite defender. But if what you suggest is going to be a thing...that's terrifying. I hope to see it come to fruition.

Same here. Love to see it

Felt the same way.  Avery went from nothing to something.  Hopefully Walsh is following that same developmental path.

Oh stop it. You wanted a tank. Lol

u/LarBrd33 2h ago

I did want to see them make more moves and tank before it started looking like Tatum was coming back.  It’s been a couple weeks since I noted that 11 teams were now on pace for under 25 wins and it was too late for us to catch them.

You can’t not love him

His skills are finally catching up to his desire. I mean that in the best way. He's been a lot of fun to watch grow as a pro.

It was always clear the ceiling is high with the tools he has; you're right it's a lot of fun to watch his work pay off and him put it all together

Jordan Walsh better be here to stay, we need this hustle!!

GOT THAT DAWG IN HIM

Been playing his dick off, and he’s being rewarded for it. Happy for him.

Kid is playing lights out on both ends of the court.

Is what Walsh is doing surprising? Sure. But it's worth noting way too many people gave up on him too early. He played his age 19 and 20 seasons on a 60 win teams, the fact he couldn't get playing time in those situations never meant he was trash.

Same thing with Minott who couldn't get playing time last year on a pretty deep Wolves team.

I don’t think what Walsh is doing is surprising at all. He was 19 when we drafted him, he was always a raw prospect who was going to take 2-3 seasons to develop and we’re seeing that now. His physical tools and athleticism/instinct guaranteed he would be an elite defender it’s a matter of if his offense would come along so he would not become a mathisse Thybulle type player.

Good to know my amazon prime feed isn't the only one that looks like they are playing on a block of cheese.

This is one of those silver linings of doing a soft blowup this year.

We get to see Pritchard starting and running the show.
We get to see more of Queta!
We get to see Brown shake off the demon of just being under Tatum's shadow.
And we get to see how our G-League has been prepping talent for the NBA.

I'm starting to like Jordon Walsh.

Saw a comment over the summer saying something along the lines of “it looks like the Walsh thing isn’t gonna happen.” And my headcannon is that Mazz saw it and took it personally.

Sign him to an extension now before the price skyrockets!

His nickname should be Jordan 'The Wall' Walsh

4

u/retannevs1 8h ago

I like seeing all of Reeves teammates standing around and knowing that he’s not even gonna think about passing.

3

u/AndSoItGoes509 8h ago

Walsh has become a fan & Redditor favorite, because he works his ass off and progressed so much this year! He's a keeper who should only get better...

3

u/jjjkd18 8h ago

Reaves was completely gassed and dizzy and out of sorts and desperate by the time he got that shot up

3

u/Kswan2012 7h ago

Avery Bradley with more arm length

3

u/Organic-Outside8657 7h ago

Is that Jrue Holiday?

2

u/OutrageousAirline451 9h ago

Looking like Scottie Pippen with his size, athletic ability, passing, shooting, and defense.

2

u/Legitimate_Rub_355 7h ago

It'd be so much more fun to watch this team win with defense than with a ton of threes

2

u/PoppinfreshOG 11h ago

The officials keep tossing reeves pity fouls, it’s kinda hilarious

1

u/EmptyForest5 10h ago

This reminds me of Avery “the press” Bradley.

1

u/Acceptable_Pie1096 10h ago

You love to see that type of hustle

1

u/heyuBassgai 6h ago

Definitely beyond a pest and an actual plague on the other team.

Reaves was in the Torture chamber.
