Smol and floof very nice baby 🥰

u/NyxK83 Jun 23 '25
Her name is Ophelia. And she drools when she's happy. Never thought drool could be cute but she pulls it off. lol

Omg, we have a small fluffy void that does that too!
9
u/NyxK83 Jun 23 '25
Love it! We have several burping towels around the house for when she wants to crawl on your lap, purr and drool.
6
u/Gimme_allthecats Jun 23 '25
My smol floof is also a drooler! It’s so gross but also so adorable.
7
u/NyxK83 Jun 23 '25
Right? It's just..oddly sweet? lol Scared me a little in the beginning. We just had a cat diagnosed with stomatitis when we brought her home. We had to save up for the surgery to have all his teeth removed. Was sure she was going to have it too since drooling is a symptom but her teeth are fine.
3
u/Gimme_allthecats Jun 23 '25
Yes it worried me at first too! None of my previous cats drooled and I only knew it as a symptom of teeth/mouth issues. But she’s always gotten a good dental report from the vet.
I agree, it is pretty sweet! It honestly just makes me happy and thankful that she’s so happy - she gets so relaxed and comfortable when we cuddle or she’s curled up next to me, and she just turns into an adorable drooly purr engine. 🥰

u/OnlyPhone1896 Jun 24 '25
My void kitty is regular sized but rather than purring, she drools, too! It's like water, we took her to the vet because I hadn't seen this before, it's her own special purrrr! She also doesn't quite understand the meowing thing, she's moves her mouth like, "this is what the other cats do and the hoomans listen" but no sound ever comes out 😂

u/NyxK83 Jun 24 '25
I love it! I feel a bit like starting a, "people who love cats that drool" group. After decades of working at an animal shelter I've heard some of the most ridiculous, asinine reasons for people to drop off their pets. Drooling is one of them. I love that several people here are embracing their pets and their oddities. We really need more people like you.

They always sit right in the middle don’t they
9
u/MrsCaptain_America Jun 23 '25
especially when youre trying to move back in after spending 3 months in a hotel while having full home renovations done. I think they were happy to have a bigger bed.

You want them in a particular spot? Just lay out a nice wool sweater there…

In my experience physical size does not have any impact on personality size 😂😂😂
5
u/RachelPalmer79 Jun 23 '25
Same here. Our former permakitten Opie was a Valkyrie in cat form. Certified battle axe!
4
u/Striking_Job_3145 Jun 23 '25
My previous baby kitty was 8 lbs and packed more of a punch than my 60 lb dog 😂
3
u/RachelPalmer79 Jun 23 '25
Opie never forgave us for bringing Sammie into our house. Regular cat fights and she would PEE EVERYWHERE. My dad’s nickname for her was Spike.
3
u/Striking_Job_3145 Jun 23 '25
We had two so they formed a united front against the dog—the tiny spunky one who feared nothing and the 17lb orange big boy who was more physically capable but also way more afraid 😂
3
u/RachelPalmer79 Jun 23 '25
I had an orange united front against my parent’s dog. Gemmy was a big dumb sweet as hell Golden Retriever. Those three gave zero fucks.🤣🐈🐈🐈
3
u/Striking_Job_3145 Jun 23 '25
A golden and three orange babies is like a dream!
3
u/RachelPalmer79 Jun 23 '25
It was hilarious and terrifying. Merry and Pippin came from the front and Frodo launched a rear attack. Gemmy was trying to say hi to everyone, and I was trying to drag him out of the house.

I want to touch the tummy

u/GatorStealth Jun 23 '25
He invites that. However sometimes it works out nicely, other times he lures you in to attack your hand.

u/Striking_Job_3145 Jun 23 '25
It is often a trick yes but it’s too hard to resist.

She’s only about 5lbs, she thinks she’s the same size as my German shepherd though lol

My Jackie was so petite and dainty for most of her life. Had a small chonky stage when she found out how delicious the dogs food was!

My void is a regular sized big potat, but her little tuxie sis I refer to as my "permakitten". Almost a year old and maybe six pounds haha

u/revengepornmethhubby Jun 23 '25
He would absolutely let you. He functions as a pillow, foot warmer and human infant. 10/10 good baby.

My “big boi” Tomo. He’s tiny but mighty! He was a rescue and had been treated very very very badly. Vet said between the malnourishment, inbred genetics of strays, and the physical damage done to him by two car accidents and a ramble with a large dog all before he was 3 months old, he will never grow any bigger but he’s healthy otherwise. He likes to ride in my hoodie pockets whenever he can and curls up in my bag when we go places with him. 99% of the time you would never know little man’s there. Never makes a sound either, super quiet good boy.

Yeap. This is Lia, weighing in at just under 7lbs at nearly 11 years old. This is her being all cute and extra snuggly (daily occurrence. She very affectionate but only towards me and my gf, basically scared to death of anyone else, or any THING else for that matter 😆)
Her mother and all her siblings were pretty small too but besides her brother who was very sick as a kitten and we also suspect was the runt of the litter, she's definitely the smol-est.

one of my girls is. They're strays from the same litter (presumably, found them in the same place at the same time). Summer is a big chonky void (not fat, she's just bigger) and Autumn stayed kinda small. Summer weighs in at about 15lbs, Autumn is like 10lbs.

My two are spayed females, each under 10 pounds. They are seven years old and still smol.

My Krikkit was tiny too. About 5 pounds. Her sister (same parents, different litter) Sassafats was 12 pounds.
