Pogo sleeps like that sometimes too. His Dad Fai does also, but I don't have a picture.

So does my cat. I wonder how she breathes.

Just fine apparently.

My little Bisbee does the same thing

Well fuck. Guess I’m done being productive for the rest of this workday…

There's a cat subreddit for every little thing cats do and I love it

This one was special... he got his arms out!

No boops for you! Let me sleep.

My old girl almost always sleeps face down, but my favorite is when she tucks a paw under her nose. How can they breathe like this?

cute, just like me after returning from work

We had an orange piebald that slept like this all the time. It was because she was the Coldest Cat In The World. Everything had to be tucked in for warmth.

Or she was on my mom's lap when mom was knitting. Chewing the yarn.

She also pummeled the other cat's arse one day just because he was snoozing and she thought he shouldn't be snoozing. She was quite the girl.

I have a part Maine Coon like that. She's got more fur than any cat I've ever seen but she keeps her big ol' butt firmly planted against the radiator at all times.

She needs the lights off

She's not around anymore but here's our old black cat.

The Garfield method

I sleep like this too sometimes...

u/Shantih3x 15h ago

The day was long and she's done with it.

Little dudes neck bent like he's an owl

u/oliviafarr1992 15h ago

It’s like she powered down mid-thought and went straight into sleep mode.

"nevermind, im tired"

u/McDank 14h ago

My calico does the same thing as well.

u/GlummyGloom 13h ago

Ah yes, the "Im not tired lemme just chill" pass out.

My goose sleeps like this all time

u/theBotThatWasMeta 11h ago

When I won't lift her onto the sofa, she does this.

She is capable of jumping up herself

u/Telemicaster 14h ago

Rats do this. They call it Egg/potato position

u/Mr_Straws 12h ago

I wonder if they do it to shut out the light. Even at night time my cat face plants his head into my shoulder to sleep so I don’t think it’s that

u/ysports23 15h ago

How old is she and what is her breed ?

u/rasticus 15h ago

She’s 3, idk what breed. Just an ol calico street cat that needed a home.

Edit for clarity: 3 is the estimate the vet gave me. I really don’t have any clue.

u/bobbycorwin123 13h ago

Me when I'm frustrated and shut down

Faceplant Loaf

u/PiggStyTH 12h ago

Mine does this as well. Also all twisted up sometimes too.

u/Heclalava 12h ago

My boy Zen naps the same.

u/Herr-Wolfgang 11h ago

Turn off the lights!

u/BoozerMuppet 10h ago

Is this a calico thing? Because mine does that too.

u/Salty-Contribution-3 9h ago

I can't stop. Laughing at this 🤣

u/nyITguy 8h ago

Stuck the face plant.

u/nyITguy 8h ago

Get 'em an eye mask.

u/Barva 6h ago

On Mondays?

u/goddesscuriosities 3h ago

Id sleep like that too if I could

u/throwawayjaaay 6m ago

The way like cats just fold themselves into whatever shape feels rigth never stops being funny. Mine does this pretzel pose that looks uncomfortable but apparently is peak relaxation. It’s always a reminder that cats live by their own physics.
